Ok, so the basic questions then:

1) Why is lightning beneficial in battle, and in what cases would it be particularly beneficial.

2) Name a few of the dangers of lightning for me, it's one of the most dangerous elements to use, and so you have to be aware of the dangers.

3) What elements are lightning weak against, strong against?

1.) Lightning is beneficial for multiple reasons. It is one of the most devastating elements capable of incredibly powerful jutsu. It has an elemental advantage over earth making it able to turn rock hard defenses or attacks into dust. The speed of its attacks can be so fast that they are unavoidable. Attacks can be used to paralyze opponents by shocking them. It can even be used to increase the body's reaction time.

2.) Lightning is difficult to control. It can lead to the user himself being shocked if not wielded correctly. While using lightning jutsu if the user is hit by a water jutsu they run the risk of electrocuting themselves.

3.) Lightning is weak against wind and strong against earth. It can be combined with water to create a water/lightning combo.

Now, take a seat and meditate. I would usually do something to get the element as close to you as possible to help you focus more, but it's a bit dangerous in this case lol.

I want you to clear your mind of all things but lightning. Picture how it moves, how it acts, picture its entire existance inside of your head, and meditate on that. Close out all things outside of your mind, and close out all things inside of your mind besides lightning.

I sit down and close my eyes to begin meditating. I start to think of a thunderstorm and picture the lightning as it strikes the earth.

I feel the rock coming my way and quickly duck as the rock grazes my head.

I must not have been meditating hard enough......

I again close my eyes and try to focus harder. I think of a lightning bolt and how quick and jagged its movements are.

I continue to meditate about lightning. The lightning bolts start flashing in my mind. They're quick and instantaneous. My mind starts to move rapidly and sharply.

Alright, so there aren't many exersises we can do with lightning, but let's just try one to see how your lightning chakra has developed.

Focus lightning chakra in your hand and try to make some sparks around that hand.

 

[Typhon]

I snap out of the trance like state to find I've grown a stubbly beard and smell of sardines.

I try to focus lightning chakra into my hand. I hold my palm face up and channel the chakra into my palm, causing sparks to form in my hand.

Try again, keep the chakra running through your hand.

I again hold my palm face up and begin to focus the lightning chakra. I have it run through my body like a current and focus it towards my palm. The chakra builds up in my palm and begins to form sparks of lightning. I keep the chakra running through my hand and preserve the sparks.

*sparks produce in your hand*

Coolio, now one last exersise. This time, we'll work on actually releasing the chakra.

*hands you a kunai*

Just like you did last time, focus chakra in your palm, but don't stop there, after that, I want you to focus the lightning chakra around the kunai and make sparks around it.

I take hold of the kunai and grip it in my hand. Holding it outward I begin to focus my chakra towards my palm. As the chakra builds in my palm and begins to form sparks I begin to extend my chakra to the kunai. I build up the chakra around the metallic kunai and sparks begin to form around it.
