Looks: Rikku has pale grayish skin and crazy white hair, a color owing to his Otsutsuki heritage. He has two horns reminiscent of his ancestors Hagoromo and Hamura. He wears an advance flak jacket which is white and grey in color. The back of his flak jacket has the kenji for "hunter" commonly displayed upon bounty hunters.

Personality: Rikku is a greedy and psychotic individual, arranging goals in terms of the highest profit he could gain from them, and is often unwilling to involve himself in something if there was nothing to gain from it. He remarks that money is the only dependable thing in the world. He's loud mouthed yet cunning but his deranged personality always seeps through. Rikku holds a violent hatred for his clansmen, as despite his original loyalty he was treated uncharacteristically with harsh punishment. He responded in kind by brutally betraying his clan. In spite of his psychotic and deranged mental state. Rikku is still highly effective in combat and implements strategy in all aspects of his life. His intellect could be compared to that of a mad genius of the highest caliber.

Moon Orphan: Rikku was born with the abnormality of having horn-like growths on his head in a similar manor of his ancestors, Hagoromo and Hamura. It was these horns that made the clan elders believe he was born a godsend. Taken from his family and raised by the elders, Rikku was held at high regard. Having much higher chakra reserves then normal the elders only allowed him to train with the most elite clansmen. Over the years it became clear that Rikku didn't show any skill in his clans unique abilities; this was mostly accumulated with his lack of the Byakugan. By the age of seven Rikku was shut out by the elders, a failure in the eyes of his clan. No longer viewed and treated as a Godsend, Rikku had to adjust to a new lifestyle. One where he was seen as a deformed freak, an unwanted joke. With no family or friends, Rikku starved. Feeding on the trash left outside of taverns. A lonely child he developed imaginary friends and family to cope. As the years passed, Rikku would take belittling tasks for small amounts of money and food in order to survive. Coming to the realization that money is the only absolute in the world Rikku would remember his teachings and train himself in order to take on missions and bounties. Eventually gaining enough money to by himself a small homestead for his "friends and family" to live.

Sage Incarnate: Several years would pass and Rikku would grow his skill and wealth. This brought on the attention of some of his clansmen whom would break into his home. Thieving the wealth he has acquired in order to fuel an upcoming war. Rikku in retaliation would engage his clansmen in combat. Outnumbered and outclassed Rikku would fall. Beaten and on his knees, He would speak out to his "family". Apologizing for failing them. One of his clansman would see as Rikku pleads to his imaginary family and walk over, pretending to grasp hold of one in order to torment Rikku's unstable mind. Taking a Kunai the man would pretend to stab the family member before laughing. This act would cause Rikku to freak out, crawling over to what he see's as his mother, bleeding out. His mind would snap, causing unstable amounts of chakra to surge as a rippled pattern overcomes his eyes. Like a Sage reincarnated; he would strongly resemble Hagoromo. It was like originally visioned by the Elders, Rikku was a godsend. Using the abilites of the Rinnegan, Rikku would massacre many of his clansman and lead a rampage through the area before leaving his homeland. Rikku wondered for years, lost in both reality and mind. Rikku would eventually found a group of bounty hunter's known as the "Death Eaters".

The Rinnegan is reputed as the most exalted eyes amongst the Three Great Dōjutsu (三大瞳術, San Daidōjutsu; Literally meaning "Three Great Eye Techniques"). It is characterized by its ripple-like pattern which spreads over the eyeballs, with light purple irides and sclerae. One who gains the Rinnegan has access to a multitude of abilities. On its own, the Rinnegan allows the user to see chakra, including otherwise hidden barriers such as the one which surrounded Konohagakure. The holder of these eyes have the potential to completely master all five basic nature transformations that form the basis of ninjutsu. One of the Rinnegan's trademark techniques is the Six Paths Technique, which grants the user multiple abilities, known as Paths. The Six Paths Technique (六道の術, Rikudō no Jutsu) is the origin of the unique techniques bestowed by the Rinnegan. In total there are actually seven of these paths that grant the user powerful and near god-like abilities:

(天羅, Tendō) Deva: Grants the user the ability to manipulate attractive and repulsive forces.
(修羅, Shuradō) Asura: Grants the user the ability to form mechanized limbs, weaponry and armor.
(人間, Ningendō) Human: Grants the user the ability to read a person's mind by removing their soul.
(畜生, Chikushōdō) Animal: Grants the user access to the Chimera Contract.
(餓鬼, Gakidō) Preta: Grants the user the ability to absorb all forms of chakra.
(地獄, Jigokudō) Naraka:, Grants the user the ability control the King of Hell.

These cylindrical black rods allow the user to transmit their chakra across vast distances through an application of the Outer Path's ability. According to Shizune, these rods act as high-frequency chakra demodulators, which become appreciably warm to the touch whilst currently receiving chakra. They possess incredible durability, damaging every scalpel Shizune used to extract just a small sample during her autopsy of the first Animal Path, and even displaying some resistance when struck by Naruto's Rasengan. These chakra disruption blades are made from the same material as the chakra receivers used by Rikku. They originated from the black rod in the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's abdomen. Rikku creates the blades as needed from both arms of any Path, with no apparent limit to their length. Pain can also detach the blade from the arms when requiring to use several of them, or to be thrown as spears. These blades disrupt the chakra of its victim, rendering them incapable of moving. When a victim is stabbed by the blades, the Rinnegan appears in their mind, implying that Rikku has some degree of influence over them, similar to how he controls the Six Paths. The blades are very sharp, as they were able to pierce the skin of Sage Mode users. Though the blades are made from durable material, they can be broken with enough strength
