Dean arrives at the training grounds and sees his new student there.
"Yo! The name is Dean Winchester, and I will be the one to help you finish this deadly element. So to start off, tell me everything you know about Lightning in the Narutoverse, it's strengths and weaknesses, and also known users of the element. Do this in as much detail as you can."

Lighting is strong against Doton especially blast release because it can easily travel through the ground and break it apart. As Sasuke has shown us through his fight with Deidara, it can also react with C(1,2,3,4) bombs in such a way that it cancels it out completely, rendering it useless. It can also be used in combination with Suiton to increase the power of the Raiton based attack, or vice versa. Raiton, although good against Doton and with or against Suiton, is weak against Futon due to wind being a natural insulator of electricity.Also, as Sasuke Uchiha demonstrated, using natural lighting via storm clouds created by natural means or the heating up of the atmosphere via Katon, lighting can be tamed and used to the user's advantage if skilled enough.There is also an advanced form known only to some Kumo ninja such as Darui known as Black Lightning. That being said, Raiton is very common among the members of Kumo compared to the other villages.Lightning is a good idea if you're looking for piercing damage.Some known users are Kakashi, Sasuke, Darui, and Ay.KG that Raiton is a part of is Storm Release That's all I have I feel like I missed alot ;____;

"Alright, that is okay, Lightning rips through Earth because of it's properties and it's weak to Wind because the wind insulates it. It is usually combined with Water for that extra effect and is quite the destructive element. Not very versatile though. I hope you have what it takes to tame this monstrous element.
Now, since this is your start of training, I want you to grab onto this chakra paper, and focus your Lightning chakra into the paper. If done correctly, the paper should start to wrinkle and fold, showing you know how to correctly mold Lightning chakra. Sit over there and meditate whilst channeling your chakra into it. Close your eyes whilst doing it."

Cavendish takes head to his teacher's words as he grabbed the piece of paper and walked over to take a seat on a rock. He flicked the paper a few times to make sure it wasn't some trick paper before he closed his eyes to regain focus. Molding chakra from everywhere in his body, Cavendish begins to gather it in his right arm before he sends it to his right hand where the piece of paper is being held. As the chakra is being molded into Lightning Chakra a sharp buzzing can be heard as the piece of paper begins to buzz before it eventually starts to wrinkle. Maintaining this constantly flow for a few seconds Cavendish stood up as he called out to his senpai
"I think I may have gotten it dow, senpai"

My training method works as follows, I'll explain the jutsu to you, then you will perform it and give me advantages and disadvantages of the jutsu, plus how you would use it in battle. Looking down at his hands as he listens to his senpai explain his training process, Cavendish begins to wonder what the extent of his power would someday be. Using the same method he used to crumble the piece of paper, he begins to mold and shape lightning chakra into his hands as he holds them parallel to the ground. He takes sight of the clone coming his way and starts to visualize small bolts of lightning that begin to form from the chakra in his hands. Taking aim at the clone closing in, he shoots the bolts of lightning as the clone was just about to reach him instantly dropping him in his place.
"I think I may have done it accurately, correct me if I'm wrong senpai"

Then once Lightning starts crackling around them, slam your hands towards the ground and release a surge of Lightning that moves across the ground to the opponent's feet, shocking them. Try it on my clone."

Checking out the scroll his senpai just gave him, Cavendish took heed to what he told him to do. Without wasting time he used the same mechanics from before and started to mold lightning chakra into his hands. After shaping it into lightning chakra the crackling sound of the lightning could be heard throughout the battlefield as he knelt down only to smash his hands against the ground releasing a stream of lightning that flowed directly to the man's clone. Paralyzing on impact, the clone's feet was the first to be effected by his last technique.

Travels through earth rather easily
Can be used as a sneak attack
Effective on multiple terrains (such as water)

How it can be used in battle:
Personally, I'd use it as a tactic to get the opponent in the air. Throw this at them and limit their options of dodging it. If they go into the air like planned than you're taking control of the fight

Listening to his mentor's words, Cavendish quickly formed the handseals Tiger → Snake → Dog while simultaneously manipulating his lightning chakra that was forming in his hands into an electrical current. As the current was beginning to take its form he noticed a clone coming his way with a kunai in his hand. Without dropping a beat he sent a surge of lightning towards his opponent with the intent to successfully disarm will immediately afterwards sending a large concentration of lightning towards his opponents chest that would shock his heart on impact from the transfer of countless volts of electricity.
