It was clear by the pictures. Boruto is older/taller in those opening panels of the Boruto manga, they were serving as a glimpse of what's to come to entice readers to stick through the manga. End may not be exactly correct as there may be some stuff after the fight but that fight is a ways off from where Boruto is now.
