Background info
Born in Sunagakure but moved to konoha as part of an exchange program he was trained in the use of basic ninjutsu by his father who was a member of anbu and more skilled in taijutsu then ninjutsu the boy was going to graduate the academy until he left at a very young age not long after an attack by shukaku left him as an orphan and he couldnt handle the pain and loss of his loved ones so he wandered the forests for 
miles and miles till finally when his supplies ran out he collapsed in a strange foreign land till he awoke in a small house and discovered he had been Taken in by a bounty hunter in the land of waves and the old hunter was determined to give him an path in life so he resolved himself to teaching the boy and after many long years of being shown the ropes in tracking and capturing or when nessecary killing his prey his master tells him they have a mission to capture a dangerous bounty who was linked with the akatsuki and many terrorist bombings while out on the mission to capture the rogue ninja by the name of deidara his master is killed after interference by a strange ninja in a red cloak and he is severely burnt on his left arm resulting in the battle plate he uses to cover it now takes over the bounty hunting and all contracts left to him and seeks to learn the way of the ninja to effectively combat rogue ninja and take them in alive or dead he hunts akatsuki relentlessly to sate the rage he feels after the loss of the one person who helped him cope with the loss of his parents and forge a new life.
Arc One - Arrival
Upon arriving in kumogakure Rex was allowed entry in to the village by Mugiwara, Rex then spent the next month or so training and learning he met some travellers that helped him hone his ninja arts many people helped him out.
To name a few of them, Scary Yamato, Jinbei, The Pervy Sage, Even Drizzy helped Rex practice his new techniques before hospitalising him with a rasengan.
After time Rex discovered more people to help him they are called sempais and he had met a few during his time in kumogakure.
But after some time the boredom of the village life got to Rex and once again he set out on his travels waving a sad farewell to kumogakure.
Arc two - The Long Journey
As Rex walked for miles and miles he seen many wondorous things the mountain expanse gave way to marsh lands and thick heavy mists, He also found many adversary's to test his skills on mainly new travellers like himself such as Teno and the members of his hidden ash village.
One
day while travelling through the hidden ash for supplies, Rex comes across a site he will always remember it was a site of his first war, On the battlefield teno and his defenders fought valiantly against 3-4 incredibly powerful ninja's.
It was all going well until one of the hidden ash ninja jumped from a tree to rescue teno from a warrior named yard and by throwing a flashbang at him caused yard to suffer flashbacks from the great vietnam wars.
Now this is the part Rex will never forgot from the distance he just heard a crackle of electricity followed by a gigantic explosive vortex of raiton that ripped the Hidden Ash Village asunder killing and wounding several people.
It was then and there Rex realized if he truly wanted to avenge his master and destroy the akatsuki he had a long long way to go.
Arc three - Enter The Hidden Mist Village
After witnessing the devestation caused in the Hidden Ash Village Rex resolves to continue his tutelage under several sempais he meets a lot of new people to teach him including,
Igneel, Rokusho, They both teach Rex more of the basic elements
Kirabi-Sensei, He shows rex the power of genjutsu
Dr House, He finally shows rex total mastery over the element of suiton
Leaf, Amuses me
Scorps-Sensei, He teaches me in the ways of Fuuton still to this day
Darui-Sensei, Darui teaches me in the ways of raiton finishing training started by my old mentors.
During his time in the Hidden Mist Village Rex hones his techniques and masters the gift from his nearly forgotten clan attaining complete mastery of Genjutsu
He also
witnesses a reformation of all the villages defenses due to the impending threat posed by akatsuki and fears that another village may conquer them while they worry about the akatsuki,
"Looks like travelling the roads will become more difficult" Rex thinks to himself
But it appears that my mission to track the akatsuki has become even more important it seems if nothing is done about them that the ninja world will tear itself apart a piece at a time, With this thought clear in his head Rex leaves the mist village continuing his search for akatsuki while he continues to increase his power hoping to defeat them once and for all.
Arc four - The Village Hidden In The Sand
After many journeys and much more training then before Rex arrives in the desert, Struggling through the terrain with the unbearable heat and freezing cold nights he finally collapses in the middle of nowhere.
Awakening inside a strange village he learns that the place is called sunagakure, The Kazekage welcomes him to the village and offers him a place to stay so long as he devotes himself to helping the village.
Seeing the village in such a condition after an attack by the akatsuki and witnessing the hatred such an attack caused Rex agrees to stay in the village, Secretly hoping this will get him back on the path of the akatsuki.
