Jakai scrambled through his room, looking all over for his scrolls. God dammit. Of all the days to have trouble finding my scrolls, today has to be that day! Where are you??? Jakai then began scrummaging through his entire apartment. As he was on his couch, he quickly glanced at the TV cabinet and then realized it would be there. He opened up the cabinet with a smile on his face. He then picked up the scroll inside and put it in his bag along with the rest. Alright, now to get a move on. All of his scrolls were neatly kept in a big backpack. Jakai picked up a file regarding his student he was going to be teaching as he was walking outside.

While walking away from his home, Jakai picked up an apple at a market and began eating as he made his way to the site. With food in his mouth, Jakai spoke. Oh snap, I'll be training him? I can't believe he's back! Jakai then swallowed the piece of apple he was chewing on and smiled. Well alright! This'll be fun.. Jakai then made his way towards the training grounds and approached his student.

Hey there! Nice to see you again Neji! Sorry for making you wait. Why don't we get started? If I remember correctly, we finished off C-Ranks in Earth together. So let's move on.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) — Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Type: Offensive
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the required hand seals, Boar → Ox → Placing Hand on the Ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them in a mayhem of jagged rocks. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to a large area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.
(Doton: Dosekidake no Jutsu) — Earth Release: Earth and Stone Bamboo Shoot Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.
(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) — Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones, the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated, but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves, but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth Release techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

"The first technique is a simple one. You channel your chakra into the ground to cause it to make the ground surrounding the target spiral into itself. Chakra is only needed for the activation of the jutsu, not to maintain it.

Second technique essentially makes spears of earth pop up at the opponent. You have to maintain the technique until each "bamboo" stick rises, but it's nice in that it can rise up in strange and unique ways. Other than that, it's fairly simple.

Final technique is a clone tech, but unlike a Shadow Clone tech. It has a fairly solid degree of durability, being able to maintain itself if it breaks from certain attacks by reforming. It's only able to perform up to C-Rank Earth Release techs, but that's not too bad. Other than that, it follows all other rules of cloning.

Go ahead and try them all out and give some advantages and disadvantages, as well as some scenarios in which you would use the tech and defend from it.

OOC: You would not believe the week I've had... Sorry for the delay

Awaiting his senpai, he was thinking. Yeah, it has been awhile hasn't it? I used to train with him to learn Earth, now he's teaching me, heh. Neji would proceed to smile slightly remembering the good times they had and how much better they're about to get. Seeing as Jakai would appear, he hears him say for us to get started. Hearing this would get Neji excited and ready for business, Let's do this!

Taking a stance, Neji would make the hand seals Boar → Ox, then proceeding to place his hands on the ground while channeling his chakra within the ground itself, towards the enemy. Using the chakra that was focused into the ground, he would make the area spiral downwards, causing the floor underneath the opponent to fall.

Advan: The advantage for this would be that you can use from a good distance and cover a lot of ground. This particularly works well in caves or rocky areas since there are so many rocks. It would potentially kill the opponent or cause a lot of terrain that the enemy would have a difficult time getting through, if at all. It's also a quick move, considering you just place chakra into the ground and that's basically it.

Disadvan: The disadvantage to this tech would be that it's only very effective (imo) at a rocky place since most people could avoid this by jumping away or just getting out of the collapsed floor since they're not trapped by all the rocks.

Scenario: A good one I can come up with is that if someone were to use a water tech to create a water source everywhere is to use this, creating a hole and draining that water down the hole so it doesn't come to me.

Focusing his chakra within the soil, Neji begins to concentrate his earth chakra into the ground. Placing his chakra in the ground, he sees that 4 big rock spears start coming out of the ground in multiple direction that would jam into the rocks that were falling from the previous tech.

Advan: A great one would be it comes from multiple directions, making it very hard for the opponent to avoid unless they're going upwards. Depending on how this is placed, it would make it very difficult to actually void and it's versatile.

Disadvan: As you mentioned at the start, if they're able to go up that would basically be the end of the tech. You also have to keep placing chakra into the soil and wait for the spear to completely come out before stopping. That is valuable time that you're wasting and it could potentially end with something bad for you if you're stuck in that situation.

Scenario: One perfect example would be the first tech you introduced. When an opponent is falling from that, you can combo it with this. Since they're falling, they can't necessarily jump up cause they're falling and you can use this to make a spiked pit for them to get impaled to death.

Inhaling, Neji gathers his earth chakra in his mouth. Once at the perfect amount he spits out mud that forms into Neji himself. This stone clone just stands there as Neji prepares to attack it, seeing how durable it actually is. Winding up for a front attack, Neji strikes it and blows off a piece from the earth Neji but it starts to reform and maintain itself back to it's original self, hmm this is legit.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A

They can use up to C-Rank Earth Release techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

Advan: A good advantage to this would be that it's a clone. So if you need to inspect anything or you think it's too dangerous you can send this guy out. Also since he's very durable and able to maintain itself despite being hurt, it's a good way to keep the enemy distracted while coming up with another move. This tech can also use up to C ranked moves.

Disadvan: They can only use earth techs instead of multiple ones. Can't really see a disadvantage to his honestly.

Scenario: While fighting against a taijutsu user, I would make this clone to fight him. Since these clones have extra durability, it would be a good fight for him while stalling long enough for me to come up with something better to unleash on him.

It's all good man, I get you're busy lol

"Nice job! Personally with clones, I don't see much disadvantages either. Obviously there are some, but they're negligible. All looks well. Time to move on."

(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) — Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique
Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.
(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) — Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and creates a 1/4 dome of earth, which protects them from frontal external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to Wood Release: Wood Locking Walls.
(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) — Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Point: 40
Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.
"Numero uno. This is a nice defensive jutsu. It allows the user to create a wall or barrier of sorts to protect oneself and even others, if they so please. What's really special is that the shape of the wall is really free for the user to decide, but it has to be within reason of being a defensive shape.

Second technique is another defensive tech, but simpler. You just make a wall that rises in front of you.

And for the last technique, you remember the Mudshot Technique we learned? It's basically that, but it allows you to hit multiple targets.

Alright, same drill."

Standing in a general vicinity of a rocky area, Neji would gather his chakra and surround himself with rocks that form in whatever shape he please as long as it protects him and whomever he decides to, in this case is boxed lunch? So Neji would proceed to make a dome overheard blocking off from an "attack" of raining kunai.

I'll protect this boxed lunch with my life!

Advan: The nice advantage to this is that it doesn't require you to use hand seals and on top of that it's relatively quick. What's also nice about it is that it lets you protect other if you so desire to.

Disadvan: Only problem I see if that when using this tech, you're pulling earth and rocks from that area you're currently at. So if you happen to be on a lake or something you're kinda outta luck there.

Scenario: Someone throws multiple projectiles at you that you can't otherwise protect yourself from (possibly too many?) since they're raining from the sky. You would be able to make a dome overhead that would protect you from that and you'd be safe.

After imagining he got attacked and protecting his lunched box during all this, he continues to pretend that the assault is still going on, this time however, it's a frontal attack that has a explosive tagged kunai incoming. Neji would slam his hands onto the ground, concentrating his chakra and rising 1/4 of a dome wall in front to fend off the attack.

Advan: Much like the above tech, this is a really fast tech that can help in a pinch.

Disadvan: I imagine it would operate the same as the above one, which requires you to be in an area with at least earth around to use. Otherwise I don't see a disadvantage really.

Scenario: While fighting someone that's between short-mid range and they use a frontal attack such as a katon fireball, you'd use this to fend it off.

Hey Jakai, mind making some clones?

Watching his senpai make clones now (3 to be exact), Neji would prepare for his next move. Gathering his doton chakra he would spit up and fire a 3 mud shots at the clone. One of which slams into the opponents body, making a clone disappear, another gets hit directly in the eyes blinding him and dropping him to the ground where the mud on his face would stick to the floor being unable to move. And last but not least had it fired into his mouth, choking him and ending his not so long lived clone life.

Advan: It's basically a better version of Mud Shot in which it can be created quickly as well as use useful things such as blinding, choking and sticking people/things in multiple numbers.

Disadvan: I don't really see a problem for this unless an opponent uses this against you somehow otherwise I got nothing.

Scenario: Much like the above example I gave, if there were multiple people or if it happen to be one person, I'd use this to blind them or choked them as well as impair their movement with the stick mud on the ground.

"Nice job. Here, for future uses, I'll make some practice dummies that you can attack. That way, I won't have to waste so much chakra."

Jakai then took out a scroll and placed it on the ground. He opened it up and then proceeded to slam his hand on the seal placed inside. A puff of smoke would appear and when it went away, there were several practice dummies that were scattered across the field.

(Doton: Doryūha) — Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the required hand seal sequence, Rat → Snake → Tiger, the user creates and rides a wave of earth that can branch off to attack from a distance. The user can also use the technique to manipulate the terrain and trap the target by wrapping earth around their legs, preventing them from moving.

(Doton: Doro Ookami) — Earth Release: Mud Wolves
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (+10 per Reformed Wolf)
Damage Points: 10 Damage per Wolf Attack
Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap, which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy targets. Despite being damaged, the wolves can reform, which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the user make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 Mud Wolves)

Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

(Doton no Yoroi) — Earth Release Armor
Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (-15 per Turn to Remain Active)
Damage Points: N/A (+10 to Taijutsu Moves)
Description: This technique coats the user's body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off, the users original appearance is shown. The user, whilst in this armor, is resistant to B-Rank Ninjutsu Techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.
"So technique number one is a rather versatile jutsu. You basically control the terrain to allow you to ride along a wave of earth that can be manipulated to attack. Additionally, you may also use it to manipulate the terrain to grab onto the target's legs. It's nice in that the vague description allows for quite a bit of freedom.

Next technique is a preparation technique. If the trap is set without fail and the target makes contact, it'll be quite a useful tech. The trap will set off wolves to attack the foreign chakra it made contact with. Even if they are physically damaged too, they can reform, but it'll take some of your chakra.

Last technique seems more of a supplementary technique to me personally. You coat yourself in earth, which can strengthen your power and raise your defense, but lower your speed. Straightforward.

Same drill."

I like how you're using the Maplestory dummies XD

Neji would begin by make the hand seals Rat → Snake → Tiger and then start surfing on a wave of earth towards one of the upcoming dummies. Approaching it he would also use this technique to grab onto it from the earth right below it keeping it in place. Getting closer, Neji would jump of the wave as it would collide with the dummy.

Advan: As you mentioned, it's description is rather vague so you're able to do a lot of things with it. It's also a nice that it covers a good span of area as well as helps you get closer to anyone if needed.

Disadvan: Only probably I could see with this is that number of hand seals you have to make but other than that, no problems here.
Scenario: Someone is running away and I use this tech to start gaining on them as well as you the other effect of grabbing onto their legs so they can't run anymore.

Whipping out a scroll, Neji would begin to lay out his scroll preparing to unleash his trap upon the dummy. However, the dummy not using any chakra wouldn't activate the trap. Normally the opponents chakra would unleash a couple mud wolves that would attack the enemy.

Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20 (+10 per Reformed Wolf)
Damage Points: 10 Damage per Wolf Attack

Despite being damaged, the wolves can reform, which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the user make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 Mud Wolves)

Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

Advan: It's definitely a good tech that can help you escape or help you just occupy the enemy to attack them from a different angle.

Disadvan: It requires you to set it up which in most cases can be very difficult for someone to pull off. Also if the opponent is aware of what's going off they can easily prevent it from actually going off.

Scenario: If someone used a move that cause temporary blindness or loss of vision, you'd set this up around yourself and when the opponent comes in for taijutsu you bait them in and wait for them to actually set it off.

Gathering his doton chakra, he would start to form rocks around his body giving him earth armor. Using this he would charge straight forward towards the dummy, with less speed because of the armor but more power in return. With the head on collision, he would also throw a right swing to the dummy completely flattening it out.

Advan: Can help in a pinch if you need a strong defense as well as a nice offense in close combat situations.

Disadvan: If you need speed for a fight, this would definitely hurt you. Also you become super vulnerable to raiton based attacks since you're completely covered in earth.

Scenario: If someone launched a move at him while I'm running at them to get close range, I'd use this to tank the damage and use the boost of power to knock them around.

"Excellent job Neji. Your work is commendable."

Jakai then pulled out the scroll to explain the next techniques.

(Doton: Domu) — Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A (+10 to Physical Attacks)
Description: After performing the Snake hand seal, the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique, when activated, leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.

Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

(Doton: Iwa Keiro) — Earth Release: Rock Trail
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user slams their hands on the ground and giant rocks rise up and jag the opponent from underneath.

(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) — Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user does 2 handseals (Ram → Snake) and creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of sticky mud (in all similar to that of Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld Technique), covering them. The mud is very heavy and thick as well as adhesive, making it impossible to move if caught and easily crushing an enemy underneath. It’s normally followed up by Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire Release: Firing Biscuit Technique technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.
"So technique number one is a rather useful jutsu. After making a handseal and focusing your earth chakra, you harden your skin to its utmost limits. The result should then be your skin taking on a black color and being extremely tough. This will allow you to increase the strength of your physical attacks.

This next tech is extremely straight forward. You slam your hands on the ground and focus your chakra to send earth spikes up to attack the target.

Last technique is one that is useful by itself, but great in combination. Essentially, you create a portal to rise above your target and release sticky mud onto your target. It's generally followed by a Fire and Lightning Release technique to immobilize the target.

Go ahead whenever."

OOC: Done with a lot of work and school. Daily replies

Performing the Snake hand sign, Neji would gather his Doton chakra within his dominant hand; the right. Upon focusing the right amount within it the color of his hand begins to turn black as it hardens as well. Looking over at the MapleStory dummy he would run straight at it, closing the gap and smashing its straw head off.

Advantage: The advantage to this tech is that it's real fast to perform, especially with Kakuzu and it allows the user to have a strong defense as well as a strong offense for taijutsu users.

Disadvantage: The problem to this is that makes the user vulnerable to Raiton based attacks since their body is basically earth now.

Scenario: A scenario for this would be if someone you used this jutsu in contrast to you perform a taijutsu move like...let's say leaf hurricane. That would really, really hurt someone.

Type: Supplementary

Mustering chakra within his body, Neji would get the perfect amount of Doton chakra and he would then proceed to slam both his hands onto the ground, causing earth spikes to go up and impale the dummy.

Advantage: An advantage to this is that it's super quick and straight forward. If the opponent missteps you can punish them by just using this and impaling them.

Disadvantage: One can easily dodge the move, as well as it's also predictable. It's one of the few moves that the user would just slam their hands down and earth would come up and strike them.

Scenario: Getting someone held down and immobilized then proceeding to use this move to get a easy hit on them.

Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user slams their hands on the ground and giant rocks rise up and jag the opponent from underneath.

Performing the Ram then Snake hand sign, Neji would create a portal overhead of the dummy. As it would open up, it would spew mud all over the dummy. Normally someone caught inside this move would have a very difficult time moving since it's super sticky and all but in this case we're dealing with a dummy....which can't move anyways.

Advantage: It's pretty fast and short in hand signs as well as it's good to use this on a unsuspecting target while keeping them in place.

Disadvantage: A problem for this is if the opponent happens to get caught, they could channel Raiton chakra to harden the mud and just break out. They could also just avoid the mud coming into contact with them beforehand.

Scenario: A scenario for this would be when you use a tech and they lose vision of you. You'd use this and open a portal on top. They won't really see it coming because they're trying to focus on you and boom, you got them trapped now.

Type: Offensive

"Great job. Let's move on."

Jakai then pulled out the scroll to explain the next techniques.

(Doton: Otoshibuta) — Earth Release: Dropping Lid
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After doing the Snake handseal and slamming his hands on the ground, the user creates a portal above the target, high in the sky from which a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid drops and falls on the target, trapping it underneath. The lid can be hollow or solid, depending on if the user wants to deal damage to the enemy or not. Because of its size, to safely used, the lid has to be created at least mid range from the user otherwise he will also be caught inside. The biggest lid can dwarf a boss summon like Nagato's Dog or Gamabunta.

(Doton: Kage Bunshin) — Earth Release: Shadow Clone
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique creates a clone made of mud. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape even after taking physical damage (up to C-Rank). A unique use is that after reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place as a binding technique. They can also use up to C-Rank Earth Release techniques.

(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) — Earth Release: Devouring Earth
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake and slams their palm on the ground. Instantly, the ground to the sides of the opponent take the shape of huge jaws and attempt to crush and stab him between them. The size of the jaws can be adjusted to fit the size of the opponent or other uses.
"So the first technique has you perform some handseals and slam your hands on the ground while focusing your chakra. You should then be able to create a hole to appear in the sky. From it, a unique shaped lid of earth will fall down and depending on how you created the technique, it can be either hollow or solid. You can use it for pure smashing power or trapping.

Now I don't think you really need much explanation on this one, because it's a variation of the clone technique. Essentially, you're going to create a clone of yourself composed entirely of mud. This clone has some durability to it, allowing it to reform from attacks. Being composed of earth though, it's limited to earth release techniques and non-chakra based attacks like Taijutsu.

Lastly, you'll perform a few handseals and slam your hands on the ground. Using your chakra control, you'll make two "jaws" of earth rise up on both sides of the target and then crush and stab it. Luckily, you can control the size of the jaws depending on your target.

And same drill."

OOC: Expect both of them tomorrow

Performing the Snake hand sign, Neji would slam his hands onto the ground. With the channeling of his Doton chakra with slamming the hands he'd make a giant earth lid appear in the sky overhead the dummy. This lid is very big and was created in a solid form. This would fall from the sky rather quickly and crush the dummy.

Advantage: The advantage to this is that it's very quick and it covers a long range. People would have a hard time avoiding this move

Disadvantage: A problem with this is that the user themselves would have to be careful not to be too close. This could also be tilted onto the user if the enemy plays their moves right which would be a real problem.

Scenario: When someone is cornered, you'd use this to have this fall on them. This would put them in a tough situation.

Gathering the Doton chakra within his body, Neji would start to release it in form of mud. Using shape manipulation to get it to look identical to him, he has made a perfect clone of himself.

Advantage: It can use up to C ranked Doton moves and it's also pretty durable. Take better hits comparatively to other clones.

Disadvantage: It would be very easy to counter it with Raiton chakra. It can also only do C ranked compared to a lot of others which can go up to B.

Scenario: With vision loss, you could use this and throw an opponent off guard while using them as a distraction.

Looking at the dummy he'd start to perform the hand signs Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake. Performing these he'd gather h is chakra and slam both his hands onto the ground. Doing so, it would summon to jaws of earth on both sides of the dummy. These would clamp onto the dummy; crushing and stabbing it.

Advantage: It can be performed from quite a distance which is always a positive.

Disadvantage: The problem for this is that is requires a decent amount of hand signs and this could be easily avoided if the opponent pays attention to their surroundings.

Scenario: While using the Lid, the opponent will likely be looking up. Using that opportunity, you could perform this and try and get them clamped and have them stuck there until the Lid crushes them all while they're being stabbed and crushed from the jaws.

Jakai simply nodded and continued.

(Doton: Tsuchi Kairō) — Earth Release: Earth Corridor
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the snake hand seal and then cause the earth in the surrounding area to rise up and over a target and create a cavern, imprisoning the target. The user can leave an opening to allow attacks to go in to strike down the trapped adversaries, or close it up completely to prevent escape.

(Doton: Arijigoku no Jutsu) — Earth Release: Antlion Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid - Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user performs the Ram hand seal and causes the ground and everything on and around it to be sucked in towards the middle of a large pit, much like the method an antlion uses to catch prey. Upon being dragged to the centre, the victim will then be sucked underground. There, the victim, depending on how deep the user makes them sink, will be trapped and/or suffocated. The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

(Doton: Doryū Jōheki) — Earth Release: Earth Flow Rampart
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By performing the Tiger hand seal, the user makes a gigantic rampart rise up beneath the user's feet by shaping the ground and increasing the amount of earth with chakra. Depending on what the user imagines, the shape of the rampart can be anything from level ground to a steep, needle-like mountain. If the user increases the volume of earth too much, he can be forced to keep his chakra consumption down. The user can combine this jutsu with Water Release: Waterfall Basin Technique to create a waterfall.
"The first technique has you focus your earth chakra near the target. You'll make the earth surrounding the target rise up and converge together to make a cavern around the target. Depending on how you use your shape transformation, you can manipulate the cavern to have an opening or to be completely enclosed.

Next up, you make the ground around the target converge inwards, sucking everything on top towards the center of the pit. It's a relatively simple technique, but can definitely be useful in getting enemies preoccupied with trying to escape.

And the last technique is great for supplementary purposes. Basically, this technique lets you manipulate the earth in any manner you see fit, allowing you to change the surrounding environment by changing the elevations of the ground to your pleasing. For training purposes, this is definitely great.

Whenever you're ready."

Performing the Snake hand sign Neji would concentrate his Doton chakra within the ground. This would cause earth to start rising up around the opponent and while shape manipulating it would cause the earth to become a completely enclosed corridor.

Advantage: This move is rather quick plus it allows you to trap someone. With the loss of vision you could follow up with another move that they won't see coming.

Disadvantage: Much like the above mentioned thing, since you won't see them anymore, you could use that moment to escape depending on what you do. Also it would be easily defeated by a Raiton move.

Scenario: A scenario for this would be getting someone stuck in, let's say mud. Following it up by trapping them in this and follow that up with a finisher move.

With performing the Ram hand sign and focusing Doton chakra yet again into the ground a giant whirlpool of sand would appear. Everything within it and around it would start moving inwards and start to sink. This would continue until said target is underground.

Advantage: Also a real fast move as well as a good distraction since if they don't get out of it they'll be stuck underground now.

Disadvantage: If one's able to jump out or just cancel the tech it would be simple to escape. It's also more a distraction than anything else.

Scenario: Using this while they're trying to perform a streaming tech. If they continue said move, they'll die so they're forced to stop and get out.

Onto the next tech, Neji would now perform the Tiger hand sign. With this he would gather his Doton chakra and start to elevate the ground below him. Doing so he'd start to rise higher into the air, so high that he's looking down at everyone else now.

Advantage: An advantage to this is to change the landscape by simply making a single hand sign, which is rather quick.

Disadvantage: A problem for this is that it doesn't have much use in actual battle since it would be easy to avoid.

Scenario: If someone launches something at you, you could perform this to avoid said thing and now have the higher ground on them.
