The "abuse no jutsu" thread got deleted as it should have before I can post my input but I thought its important to share this.

Child abuse is a very serious and cruel issue, what Naruto did is not child abuse.

I think western society is being overprotective on this issue as a preventive measure in a sense that if the parent does as much as touch the child he/she can be convicted of abuse.

Unfortunately sometimes this backfires and you have spoiled brats that curse their parents and slap their mothers and threaten to call child support...

In some cultures parents "beating" their children when they misbehave is considered a form of discipline, that is what Naruto did.

I used inverted commas on "beating" because it is done in moderation and control to not harm the child, as there is a VERY fine line between what is acceptable and what is not, and good parents can always draw that line in bold.

People should stop throwing around abuse accusations here and there, abuse is a serious issue and falsely accusing these characters that are meant to be portrayed positively is very ugly. I am not only talking about Naruto's parenting but also Sasuke's marital behavior but that's for another time.

As a matter of fact my message is very different from your "public service announcement sponsored by PBS! knowledge is power!" those are the exact people responsible for what I'm talking about regarding the western culture, which you appear to belong to.

I'm making an effort to reduce the amount of "abuse" bullshit thats going around the base these days, so if you have nothing good to say keep your half witted trap shut. =D

@bold: LOL sad thing is I kind of agree, but IMO Radon doesn't contribute to that retardation he one of those who raise the average level of intellect.

I think competition is the root of the problems here, starting from Naruto vs Sasuke, you get Sakura vs Hinata, NH vs NS vs SS, etc... and all this hate and bash as a result. Most people think if you like one character you have to hate the other.

The problem is its like a swinging pendulum, when one side attacks and the other feels the need to retaliate, and it just keeps going on and on, even if an argument between 1 group is settled, you will get the same source of the argument being brought up by another user and the cycle repeats.

Some arguments are fine when like strength, speed, skills whatever but when they start bringing in abuse, cheating and all that other BS and keep on REPEATING and insisting it stops being funny.
