Except that's not a good example, because I'm not stealing anything. I download a version of the game that someone cracked, I don't go and steal it from the company or the person who made it. It's a copy of it.

youre stealing it. just because its not the original master part and a production copy for mass distribution. doesnt mean youre not stealing

It really depends where you live too, it's not that some people don't want to support the game, they just can't. I'll give you an example with my country. So a triple A game is 60 euro, right? My country has its own currency which is 2:1 with the euro, meaning 60 = 120 here. The average salary per month if you have bachelor degree is 300-350 euro, so 600-700. With that you need to pay all your bills and food for the entire month. Even if you try to be as resourceful as possible spending 120 bucks on a game is simply not possible with that money.

And that's the case for a lot of countries, especially here in Eastern Europe

"I'm stealing because my country doesn't give me enough money" - Nope, that's not a valid excuse. Of course it's a bad situation, but you have to adapt to it. Make compromises. Save enough money to buy games from sales.

There is no justification for cheating on the people who spend their time with working their hard jobs in order to create something important for you, be it your food, your clothes or your entertainment.

EDIT: Why don't you go work for free then? Or start to paint pictures and let someone else give out printed copys for free at the stall right next to yours?

honestly though this is getting old. its like people dont want the creators they like, to keep creating. people dont want to pay for stuff but then want the greatest experiences ever. hopefully a great preventive alternative is thought of or created to protect online marketing. i mean movies, music, games, its getting silly

That's because there are so few games out there which are actually great. Witcher 3 was such a great game hat even those who pirated it bought the game . DRM is not the solution . Make a game so great that the player feels like paying for it

lol what? how many people do you think actually go rebuy a game, they already got for free? im sure some do for other consoles but that seems like reaching

even so. stealing because games arent really that fun most of the time, is super stupid. not saying you are but stealing something you dont really want is a waste of time, and hurting someone elses gain for no reason. not logic

Witcher 3 wasn't pirated as much as other games of similar caliber were.

Look even I download these releases but Witcher 3 was a game I just couldn't bring myself to pirate . I bought not only the standard edition but also the game of the year edition to support the devs. The game really was that good. Now in other news you have games like Arkham Knight and Mafia 3 which are so shoddy, they deserve a $1 bargain sale before you even consider them. 30 fps on low settings at 1080P with a GTX 970'and you demand 60 bucks? Get outta here
