The so call uncrackable Denuvo software have been cracked! in record time less than 5 days!

Quote from VG247.

It’s bad news for upcoming games using Denuvo DRM.

Resident Evil 7 has been out for almost a week and the title uses the latest version of Denuvo which is notoriously hard to crack.

The last time we heard about a game with Denuvo DRM being cracked was Rise of the Tomb Raider last year, and at the time, Thomas Goebl, director of sales at Denuvo, said, “The general positioning of our product is ‘hard to crack’ and not ‘uncrackable’. For us it is important to secure the initial sales window of games, which worked out well on all the recent titles.”

He makes a good point. If you can prevent piracy in the launch window when sales are likely to be highest, you’ve warded off a potential threat to profit.

But things aren’t looking so rosy anymore.

According to dsogaming, Resident Evil 7 has been cracked on PC in less than 5 days.

This doesn’t bode well for upcoming titles that will also be using the latest version of Denuvo.

The antitamper DRM hs caught some flack from the PC community for features like its five device per-day limitation and reports of SSD degradation and other performance problems.

Other Denuvo Games Cracked by CONSPIR4CY (CPY) after Rise of the Tomb Raider: [Their first Denuvo crack]

2 DOOM = CRACKED BY CPY
3 MIRROR'S EDGE: CATALYST = CRACKED BY CPY

9 Watch Dogs 2 = Cracked by CPY + CODEX
10 God Eater 2: Rage Burst = Cracked by CPY
11 Resident Evil 7: biohazard =Cracked by CPY

smh, they say in your own article that they didnt call it unbreakable

honestly though this is getting old. its like people dont want the creators they like, to keep creating. people dont want to pay for stuff but then want the greatest experiences ever. hopefully a great preventive alternative is thought of or created to protect online marketing. i mean movies, music, games, its getting silly

Yeah. People are experts in being idiots and constantly biting the hand that feeds them. And then they complain about stuff becoming more and more expensive, games including microtransactions and ingame-shops etc. Hilarious and sad really. I'll never understand those filthy pirates.

Why don't you get a job and learn how to manage your ressources? Being "poor" is no argument. You have internet, so your situation can't be that bad. Also, if you can't afford 60 bucks for a game at release day, get some patience and wait for a sale. Steam for example has like 4-5 sales a year. Or buy "used" games. Usually they have top quality as well and cost less than a "new" game from the shop.

Why dont you stfu... when did i say im poor? i have a pc that cost over $2500 USD and can run all my games on ultra... i also have a ps4 with all the new games.. im not close to being poor but at the same way im not rich..

if im going to get a game for free then why not?

plus there's reports that the pirated version of the game runs even better because there's no background checks and server checks during gameplay...

also there's reports that denuvo actually break SSD's

Your original statement implied that you don't have enough money to buy games that you would like to have. But okay, so you have enough money for a monster pc, then the only reason why you get cracked games is because you are a garbage person. No need for weak excuses.

Copy protection has been invented for a reason. Copyright exists for a reason. You create something and want to share it with others and make a living with it, then you also need protection that makes sure nobody fuqs with your stuff and spreads it everywhere for free. The weak so-called "performance issues" are garbage excuses. Come on, who do you think is stupid enough to believe your crap? If you really have your so great 2,5k dollar machine, you wouldn't have any problems at all.
Besides that, many many people, including myself, never had a single problem with any Denuvo-protected game, but for some reason only the pirates complain and claim that their copies magically don't work the way they were intended to do.

If you are a filthy stealer, at least be honest to yourself and admit it.

you're a bigger fool than i thought..

im not a stealer.. as i said i buy games but if im getting a game for free then why not download it?.. im not a fool and gonna act heaven sent..

most of the time the games they are selling is not even as good as they say it will be..

for example.. no man sky.. A TOTAL RIP OFF NO EXCUSES .. dont even try to defend because you'll look like a even bigger fool than you already is.

the game is only 2GB.. its practically empty and unplayable on pc when it was released... even games like watch dogs.. games that get downgraded upon release.. games like division... i have whole night to argue this point but i wont do it for a fool like you.. go waste money and support the devs who sells misleading game.. you stupid virgin punk..

You didn't understand what I said about managing your ressources.
Don't pre-order games if you aren't ready for negative surprises. Don't blindly buy a game at release-date either. Inform yourself about the condition of a game before you buy it. Read reviews, even go take a look yourself at YouTube and actually WATCH how the game is and how good/bad it performs. Is that too much to ask in modern times?

It really depends where you live too, it's not that some people don't want to support the game, they just can't. I'll give you an example with my country. So a triple A game is 60 euro, right? My country has its own currency which is 2:1 with the euro, meaning 60 = 120 here. The average salary per month if you have bachelor degree is 300-350 euro, so 600-700. With that you need to pay all your bills and food for the entire month. Even if you try to be as resourceful as possible spending 120 bucks on a game is simply not possible with that money.

And that's the case for a lot of countries, especially here in Eastern Europe

Same case where I live. 60 euro isn't worth the same for everyone.

mmm, this doesnt justify piracy though. youre literally stealing, even if you wanted to support and couldnt, this is the opposite of support

not making enough money to support your hobbies is also a personal problem that doesnt make it right, like she said. you could actually get the game at the wages and rates youre talking about. maybe not all in one check but if you actually wanted to support. you could save a little bit each time you get paid till you have enough

so basically that says youre stealing something that took someone years to create because you cant wait and save your money, for a game you really want to play and devs you support. its silly

You can't save money because you're either at 0 at the end or in the negative. Also how is it personal problem, the money problem comes from the country being poor not me. Not to mention I didn't justify piracy with that comment, but simply said why some people don't buy games, or rather why they can't.

Also it's funny people hate piracy so much yet they are on a forum that hosts manga and anime for free. Have you paid for every single Naruto episode or chapter you've watched/read? Or any other anime? Probably not.
