Sasuke is gonna surpass Madara because Madara is the one who is gonna strengthen him. Madara said that he is nurturing a new pair of eyes and then the screen cuts to Sasuke.
Madara is gonna enslave Sasuke and increase his ability to rival his own!!! He is finishing what Tobi was trying to do! Naruto vs Sasuke may be to save Sasuke from Madara's influence. That would be so EPIC!!!:T_T::T_T::T_T:

Think about it Sasuke has been foreshadowed to surpass Itachi, Nagato, and even Madara himself, but my one problem was that if Sasuke does in fact gain the Rinnengan it would take YEARS to master it on Madara's level. The biggest shortdut kishi could actually do at this point would actually be for Madara to teach Sasuke himself. BRILLIANT!!!

Sasuke has the same eye techniques that madara had. Actually, it look like Madara said he's getting a new "eye". Just one. If that's the case, it's Obito's eye with Kamui. Madara doesn't need a new eye with Amaterasu/Susanoo/Tsukuyomi. He already has that. The new eye he's trying to get is Obito's eye.

He can do like Pain and control him directly or use genjutsu

I think Sasuke will be force via chakra rods. Sasuke becomes Madara's path of pain or something and Naruto tries to stop him. All the Rinnegan user will have a 6 paths of pain. Madara's will be Tobirama, Hashirama, Sasuke, ?, ?, ? my guess on the other 3 would be Minato, Hiruzen and Obito.
Surpass Madara?........uhhh....I don't think so and when it came to the eye thing he was talking about Obito.

Although the main theory of this thread is nice and i like that to happen , specially it's the best reason for an epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke , but i agree with you , Madara mentioned a new "eye" not pair of eyes !! and I think he was talking about Obito's rinnegan and the process of black zetsu getting it !

Naruto will reach him break through Madara's technique and use Hashi's jutsu.
If you don't think his EYES will surpass Madara take it up with Obito and Orochimaru

Well, to nurture means to raise or take care of. If that translation is correct then saying he is developing his own rinnengan and has doubt's whether it would stick with seems kinda weird

I honestly didn't notice that. That's some good observation. He did hint at his notice in Sasuke's eyes in some previous chapters. It'll be interesting how Madara will use Sasuke..or try to. I don't think the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight will happen though. Not in the war at least. He'll probably be incapacitated for a couple of chapters, if not the majority of the rest of the war.

Same reason Hashi stated, that he thinks it'd be a waste of potential and that Sasuke reminds him of Izuna. You didn't get that from Madara's speech???
