Reputation voting - quick question

So, the "add to reputation" button is right next to the report button - but how do you take away reputation? I have seen a few posts I feel deserve to be voted down.

You like the 'I disagree' option and leave a comment, instead of the 'I agree' option.

Just click on disapprove then give your reason then "add reputation".

While clicking on the star button, you then have a choice between "I approve" or "I disapprove". click the second bubble to take away reputation. When taking away reputation, you have to include a reason for it.

On the reputation button there's the options "I approve" and "I disapprove"
If you click "I disapprove" you give negative reputation to the member who made that comment.
If you are referring in general for threads, there is no way to dislike a thread,you can just use the rating system (rate this thread option>top right corner) and you can give a low rate to a thread you believe it's not good enough.
