I want to start off by saying I don't understand why this country (USA) is divided. Shouldn't we all be working to better society?

I realize both parties are extremely flawed, however, there is one that at least wants to make money, and that's what this country needs. Republicans have business sense; they actually create jobs, while the democrats complain about things inside said jobs.

So which is greater? The money makers (Republicans)? Or the those that wish to give money away because someone was offended (Democrats)?

well not a good way to look at it at all.

both parties are trying their best to help and believe in all their heart that their right and the other side is wrong.

Im personally a Democrat and could go on all day insulting Republicans and talking about how my side is right and Republicans are all wrong.

but we have to realize that the other side is the exact same, so theirs no point.

Republicans, democrats, it doesn't matter. The corporations are the things running the country now. Who cares about the parties?
Our economy is in a deep bottomless toilet bowl. When I can, I will move to Japan.

What really scares me is the government's concern for our safety. They are doing literally nothing about gun control, because of the stupid NRA.

I'm not sure bout the difference...I mean...I don't know what kind of politics they do.
Even if I don't live in USA it's important. If Americans choose another president that instead taking a look on banks spends money on making war, we're all screwed.
I'm not a follower of neo-liberalism cause they say goverment shouldn't sniff around in economics, but they do expect protections from it when a shi# comes out.
Like getting security for its buildings, like a simple example. Let's think bout economics like a whole package: business requires proper buildings and equipments to work (even if people says thing are moving to digital, it seems like some instalations are still required). Adquiring instalations it's possible cause you can buy. But to keep it you need security, so...there the goverment gets it.
And I wonder...isn't it a goverment's intervetion? Whole modern economics is based in fact we have rules and goverment control. I don't think such a thing as neo-liberalism is possible.
So I resume: I'd be glad to see some control (not much, actually) from USA's goverment on banks. Sadly, I don't this will happen.

I completely agree, both are doing what they can, but my point is that one makes money and the other gives it away. xd

...but why wouldn't a business care about its company going under? o_O That would mean the executives would also lose money unless they do something underhanded...which is part of the problem with Republicans. Of course, a Republican will sacrifice a few to help the many, which is another point. xd

I personally do not own a firearm, but gun control is outrageous. First, what would the founding fathers think of that? o_O They're already rolling in their graves over the stuff thats happened already, so I'd imagine they'd come back to life just to whip us if we outlawed guns. xd Also, I must now quote my man Chris Rock:

"Don't go to parties with metal detectors. Sure it might feel safe inside, but what about all those cats oustside with guns? They know you ain't got one"

In other words, criminals will always have guns, no matter what. However, if you take guns away from the public, then they'll know that regular, law-abiding citizens don't have any...so there's no fear. Every country that has outlawed guns has seen an increase in gun violence. ;)

Seriously though, that's really sad...U_U

Also, Mexico is part of the continent of America... :D (sorry, I can't help myself)

That's so messed up, they should at least have picked someone who knew what was going on. U_U At least over here people pretend to know whats what. xd

Don't worry, US politics is something that only the infamous 1% actually understand. The only reason I understand it is because I've spent some time thinking about it real hard, also I've had lots of rich people explain it and I put the pieces of facts together from the crap they told me, so now I can call bulls**t when I see it. ;)

they set up the freedom to bare arms because at the time there was no police and there was a need for a citizen militia

know that since the US has so many guns you cant just start with gun control, what you can do is bullet control and bullet ID so that every bullet can immediately be traced to whoever bought it and the ammo for high powered arms should be even heavily monitored and restricted

check the link for homicide rates, I wouldnt say that the countries that are before the US are famous for their gun control

I've heard a lot of people say that criminals will get their hands on a gun either way, which is probably true. But I have some statistics for you anyway after doing a bit of research; 75% of guns acquired by criminals were LEGALLY bought. If we enforced gun control, I can guarantee we would see a lot less shootings across the country. Sure they can still acquire guns, but it makes it a lot easier to get a gun if it's perfectly legal to.

Well, it is. But I think I actually prefer her...unlike the candidate whom won. Enrique Peña Nieto (have you heard of him?) have never read a book (during his Political campaign he went to a book fair to present a book...there the news media asked him "What are the three books that have marked your life?" Aside he took too long to answer, he said wrong tittles with wrong authors. What a F**ing dumba#$! He has no gud campaign team..cause who the hell wouldn't think media would ask him bout books in a book fair?!). And that's the littlest fault of his. He's ***ing lame. And even lamer that most of women voted for him for being handsome when Mexico state(he was a governor there) has the highest rate of feminicide. I can tell PAN's candidate at least had a gud campaign team...
:sy:Seriously, Mexico it's really messed up. I don't like at all it's politicians. As a matter of fact I despise almost every politician, Mexican or not.
Anyway, I'm really interested in USA's elections. If they do wrong actions regarding nowadays' economical crisis, we're all screwed up. We'll depend on China-Asia in general- entirely.

I'm a Libertarian. Both parties are doing more harm than good. Both parties are war mongers no matter what they say. War is what is making the U.S go into debt. So is bailing out banks and companies. Its bullshit, complete bullshit. Oh yeah, and this whole thing with Iran is pissing me off. We can't leave anyone alone. Sad to say, the future isn't looking to bright and we had it coming. Don't blame one party or the other. They're both wrong. Take both Romney and Obama for example. They're both paid for by the same companies. I wish people could of sided with Ron Paul or hell, even Gary Johnson, but I guess its too late.

Bold:This is exactly what I care about.
As far as I know in 2010 China was the leader in producing solar panels, and also had high rate of solar electricity use (in some cities it was close to 85%) while USA is slowly being left behind. Why is USA's goverment spending money on war when they don't have energy transition solved (it's not even close)?
They give preferences to war industry, but dafuq? They need energy too.

You and me both, politicians never seem to have the good of the nation in mind. xd

Yeah, well, as long as they don't give Obama a second term, then everything will be fine. It doesn't matter who they put in office, just so long as he's out. It's said that the Republicans are just going to grit their teeth and vote for Romney. xd

Yes, for some reason this war wasn't as profitable as it should have been, but that's also because the people didn't get behind it. The USA is a war country, its how we make our money. For example, WWII brought us out of the depression and turned us into a super power. Of course, back then people supported their troops and half the war was won by our home front producing so much. It made the country rich. Now war seems to just make the millitary industrial complex rich. U_U

Yep, Ron Paul would have fixed everything, but someone who stands up for whats right is never given a chance. If only he had pretended to play along...xd
