Look at the following images and decide for yourself if there is a connection between the two! And what it could all mean!

Compare images of SET 1 with the images in SET 2:

Notice the black rods emerging from the Mazo.

Do you see the similarities now? What could it all mean? Speculate....

I would say that the spiral zetsu that is wrapped around Obito is responding to his awakening of MS. In a similar way to how Yamato's wood style responded to Naruto's use of Kurama's chakra. We have seen chakra make changes in zetsus before so it is most likely a change to spiral zetsu and not Obito.
