Fast food joints are considering the possibility of replacing human employees with robotic ones. Robots never get sick, tired, or call out of work.

seriously the only thing that you'd have to deal with when it comes to machines is whether they malfunction may it hardware or software.

The future were leading to is having machines replace us and paying the owners of the machines and expecting them to do maintenance for those machines.

Only real jobs would be engineers, computer science, and any biological related jobs like doctors.

They're not talking about replacing the cooks, just the customer service aspect. For those who live on the East Coast of US, think Sheetz and WaWa style computer terminals you order food from. Remove the role of the customer service position completely and you only have to pay your cooks to make and deliver the food. If anything this has worked against people campaigning for an increase in wage. Theoretically we could replace minimum wage employees with little to no repercussions. This is turn would create a competitive enviornment for the employers still willing to fill positions with actual people. This means they can afford to pay less for the position since so many people would be fighting for it...

This would be the first serious step in the direction of extinction.

I mean, a world with robots like shown in some hollywood movies may look interesting, but what do people think will happen if more and more people are replaced by robots? We have almost 7,5 billions of people on this planet.. what are they gonna do all day if there are always less and lesser jobs? How are they gonna make money to handle life as we know it?

The current system of money-slavery will collapse if roboter replace more and more people in the future.

You really don't see that doctors will be replaced too? They are already discussing robots for surgeons. Machines can literally do what doctors do but more efficiently soon. Obviously not tomorrow but in all likely hood I see robots taking over the medical field first because of the lack of screwing up by the doctors stupid reasoning.

Everything you posted can be replaced with robots too. What will you do when robots take your job?
