Thanks everyone. Though repping wasn't needed. ( ._.)

@Femme; this for your own good, I don't want to go through the same I had to. D:
Which you will eventually if this reputation thingy is not going to get removed.

Key word here.
Spam? Seriously? Get your arse out of my thread if you have nothing betters to say.

EDIT: @Shiningstar:

I see there is a lot negative eye stands from members of the year 2013, this is because you guys have not seen how much worse it got the last few years for others. I, to be honest, would definitely be against this IF I were to join just like you up this year, not knowing the stuff which has happened would anger me and I would, just like you protest against this.

In short your reply is the same as Femme, and my answer will be the same for you as I have replied to her. This is for your own good. We must not let our future members get distracted by this. D:

One, do not talk to other members like that. If you felt that he was spamming, all you had to do was report him and be on your way. The theatrics were not necessary. Also, I have a genuine concern with the wording of your opening post:

"I, *insert Your username*, have read and will agree on what Yαsmιne has just suggested."

That is completely disregarding all posts that disagree with you. No matter what was stated and no matter how cohesive the counter-argument may be. Seems a bit authoritative, ne? You are posting a suggestion in which the members of the forum will discuss before the staff members decide on their course of action. As for any thread that is posted here, not everyone will agree with you. Placing "disclaimers" like that makes you come across as arrogant and some of your posts are not assisting you in alleviating that in any manner. If you placed that there as a joke, I'd suggest you reconsider your sense of humor when discussing forum matters.

The Rep system has been around for a long ass time, Back in the day Rep whoring was borderline insane, you could keep repping people a lot of times in the same day long as you gave it to others. (It's much harder too now) This mostly happened on the Forums where people spam so they took that feature away from said forums to prevent that. Most of us older members earned our rep cuz see back in 2010-2011 Naruto Base was the shit, granted the rep was a problem back then. Most members are proud of the Rep that they do posses, Do you have a complex because yours isn't as high as some other members? Seems like It with that little bit of bragging you did hidden in your thread.

Simply no, there is no need to remove the rep system, its purpose as you stated is still in effect: 'When i saw people with large rep (Might be a little exaggeration) i thought they were godlike and wanted to be like them (Paraphrasing a bit)' But the fact of the matter is, it still clearly works, its meant to inspire people to be good and abide rules. If they don't generally their rep shows for it. Some people worked hard to get their rep, and don't want to lose it. It does more good then bad.

EDIT: Furthermore, if someone who hasn't been around long has alot of rep, it normally means that they rep *****, in which case unless they are sensible within posts, i disregard them, rep alone shouldn't be accounted for join date should correlate whenever being judged. So basically it can be broken down to: Long time member + Good rep= Good person, as the longer your known the easier it is to form an opinion

Hm, I disagree.
It's true, rep system is being abused sometimes, but I think admins and mods issue those matters.
Reputation system is fun. It has a point for some people and it's motive for some members to be more active/helpful/funny in the forum.
The things you say someone has to do to earn reputation, that's completely subjective. Personally, I hardly ever did any of that, yet I have earned some reputation points. Just because you choose to have a certain attitude and behavior and you get rep for that doesn't mean that this is a general rule. Ok, sometimes trolls, idiots and retards get rep, I am guessing from members from the same groups, but this is up to everyone to be fixed. Also, if you judge an opinion or a comment by the users rep point, then I am sure taking away rep wont help anyone. Taking away a system won't grant more IQ to some members, this I can guarantee.
You choose how to behave and you choose what kind of behaviors you want to reward. If you like to be a troll/idiot and want to reward this kind of behaviors ok. But I don't understand why a system that it's fun and it's been working mostly fine, should be taken away from the community just because some members don't have the maturity to handle it.
