Well i got 141 rep points and i really want to go up

But sometimes if someone reps me i go up 1 point, but sometime when someOne reps me i go up 5 points :S

Anny explination?, and tips for earning more rep?

[SAGE OF ALL ELEMENTS]

For every 1,000 posts/rep you have/gained. Also the one you start with and you also get a point for each year you are here. Example.
I have:
2000+ posts = 2 points.
800 = 0 points ( need to be 1000 or higher to get 1 point)
2 years = 2 point.
The 1 you start with = 1 point.
Now add them all up together:
5 points for me
Follow these steps and it should work.

I think it's because of rep power, some can give more rep than others.

And Rep Power:

The amount of reputation that each user will give (or take away if negative) is shown in the user's posts as 'Reputation Power'. The value of the reputation power is determined by the administrator and may increase over time depending on the settings they have applied.
Register Date Factor - For every X number of days (365), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power
Post Count Factor - For every X number of posts (2000), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Reputation Point Factor - For every X points of reputation(1000), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.


I also may add that "Thanking" a thread gives the user 5 rep points, no matter the rep power your "Thank" giver had.
