Ok so I back stabbed people who were breaking the rules. I didn't do it to ass kiss, nor did I do it to get the attention of the mods or admins. I don't give a flying fck about being a mod anymore. What I understand is that as Narutobase gets more members,the site gets slower and slower so they need to upgrade their hosting plan to make it go faster.

All im saying is. There isnt a premium section for nothing. Special Advantages for a short period of time..... no harm no foul. There are clicks inside narutobase that im sure people know of...,. The Game Section Click, The "TOAD" click, The "Higher up Clicks, The Rebel Clicks , So they want to just enjoy themselves. if rep makes them happy why take it away...

On holidays I received rep stating "Merry Christmas" or "Happy New years" from many members. Anyway, that's beside the point, because simply stating "spreading rep" or "buttertime" is not asking for it lol. I'm not telling the member that they should do the same.
It matters, yes. Reputation is something that is suppose to give a legit idea of how reputable you are in the site, through your actions and your behavior towards other members and your contribution to it. Faking any stat is against the rules and leads to unfair behavior.
For example, I'm an RP mod, reputable member for 4 years, good behavior, etc etc. And yet, i have 4600 rep points (give or take) with about 200 points given through weird random reputation and not through my actions or posts. (yes, i found it weird that i was receiving random reputation from the premium spam thread when i was no long premium but i didn't associate it to an event or trend...now i understand). Now, i contribute to the site, i help the site, i work for the site. I earned those 4k rep points. So, its unfair to everyone that was once a staff member, helped the site, did good GFX, was a sensei, did a good fanfic, created a cool theory, etc. Its a disgraceful behavior that in itself diminishes the reputation system and its value. If reputation doesn't mean anything its because of such behavior.
I don't really think there is a way to stop this or control it since i doubt it is against the rules... the reasons for why you give out rep depends from one person to another...
What can they do? make you state the reason for the rep and if it's just for fun then the rep will be canceled? or the one who gave it will get an infraction... well people would find a way to get around that as well.
Rep Abuse: While it is normal to give reputation to people who help you or have done something you found interesting for the forum, repeatedly asking for people to rep you or participate in games like "rep me and I will rep you" are considered "cheating" and are not allowed.
If negative reputation will be used by inappropriate reasons / spammed and reported. Administrators will take action.

Premium member contribute to the site by donating to it. That gives you some additional perks as a reward but doesn't mean you can abuse the site. As said by Zise in the premium section, you can bend the rules as much as possible without getting infracted but if something is reported or if a behavior that serves no one but yourself, then action might be taken. This means that you are not above the rules nor that you can behave yourself differently than any other member on this site.
And for someone who doesn't mind reputation and is basically disliked throughout the site, you sure managed to raise it since you got premium. Wonder why it is? Perhaps the useful posts and good behavior... :|
Lol, Majora didn't call for butter time. I repped him and commented with "Butter!". That's the reason for his comment.
And regarding this matter, I'm not at all ashamed to say that I usually repped a lot of newbies, the members who welcomed them, and the members in the game section for helping me gain posts.
Sometimes, I'm not able to rep a member for who have significantly helped me gain posts or commented on a thread I made. I usually do so, but if I'm not able to rep them because I repped them not too long ago, I go around and "spread" rep, if not I usually forget. I either don't leave a comment at all or leave a simple "spreading rep".
"Butter" is spreading rep.
All in all, everyone have their own reasons for doing, I doubt if it's against any rules.

Now, people, this matter can only be evaluated by the Admins. Reputation and reputation bound issues are their field. I'll be forwarding this, with my own reasoning, to the admins and you should expect their reply or at least their actions.
Lets not forget that reputation isn't to be abused. You use reputation to state your opinion and basically how you feel about a post a member did. Its not to be abused or misused. If you liked it you +rep that member, giving him a higher degree of respect (or so it should seem) towards others. Members with high reputation should be identified as members who contribute to the site and who's words bare more weight that others. Its a way of showing your status to the rest of the community. Its also intended to be an ACCURATE means of showing it. The same way, if you feel the post a person did was not useful or even remotely accurate, such as a trolling post in the middle of a good discussion, then you can -rep. Its the normal use of the reputation system.
Anything that is group reputation, alt abuse, -rep abuse, etc falls upon breaking of the rules. However, if its done like, once every 3 months or something that random and not frequent, then it doesn't matter than much. However, if its done in a frequent and blunt way, it needs to be dealt with. Its the same as multi posting or spamming. If you do it once, at best you get a warning. But if it falls under a pattern and you start doing it frequently, then it needs to be dealt with.
Now, lets wait to see what the admins will say about this.
