Most badass I would give to Ikkaku's but I think Renji's is overall better. You can improve more with his then Ikkaku's.

I prefer Ikkaku's. I will never forget when he first introduced his ... !!!! Anyways, like Byakuya seemed to be shoved down our throats more than any other captain, I feel Renji's bankai was shown much more than I would have liked to see it. I mean, it seemed every time he brought it out, he couldn't use it effectively and he ended up getting pwn'd and looking for a douche! It got annoying and I gradually started to not be so fond of his character..but, that was then and now..he "says" he's strong enough to take on Aizen? Hmm... shit, I'm rambling again. And let's not get started on Hitsugaya...I can't stand that kid!!! Or his abilities!!!

I am going for Renji's in terms of strength, because I think it has more potential than Ikkaku's he just need to train with it a lot more.

Ikaku's bankai is very strong once fully awakened and is very badass looking blades.
But renji's is constantly strong and has more unique looks. it looks like a dinousaur fossil.

I say Ikkaku's Bankai is better.
The problem with Ikkaku is that he probably hasn't even mastered it yet since he never wants to use it. I think Ikkaku's only at the tip of the iceberg with his Bankai. He has much more room to improve.

...that makes no sense.
Ikkaku's only shown us his Bankai once and he didn't even use any Bankai-special techniques. He didn't use it to the max nor did he show us any evidence that he's mastered it. Hitsugaya could use his Bankai in battle but even he never mastered it. He's only just mastered it recently.
Like I said, he hates using it and refuses to push himself through that door. Why should we so easily conclude that he's already mastered it if he never wants to use it? The answer is we don't.
