Well I'm back! And full of sugar!
Good point, she was helping the villagers, doing her job and being a shinobi. She decided to listen to Naruto and not intervene. Sakura has plans for the future, she does not want to die, and more than likely she truly believed that Naruto could win if he told EVERYONE to stay out of the fight. Also, what exactly do you think that says about Sakura? That she doesn't care for Naruto enough to give up her life?
If Naruto were crossing the street and about to be hit by a car (the car is Pein in this case, an 18 wheeler o_o), and both Hinata and Sakura were watching. Sakura knew Naruto knew better, and she knew he saw the car. Though, if he was about to get hit, she'd run in and pull him back and out of the way if she could... too bad her and Hinata were watching from the roof of a 25 story building... -_- ... do you see where I'm going here? Hinata jumped off that building and fell to her death to push Naruto out of the way.. and also maybe because she truly thought Naruto was about to die, and she wanted him to know how she felt.
There's a difference between risking it all, and throwing it all away. Think about someone you love, now think about how they would feel if they jumped to their death from a 25 foot story building to save your life, when you were perfectly capable of pulling it off on your own? "Woo hoo!" Right? "Someone loves me a whole hell of a lot! But wait they're dead now, and for no good reason..."
Geez, sounds like you competely misread what I wrote earlier. There's no need for you to give the me car accident example without having the full facts.
I wasn't talking about when Naruto & Pain were fighting, I was referring to the moment where Pain had subdued Naruto, making him unable to move. At that moment, those 2 guys had a lengthy conversation, enough time for Sakura to come down running to his rescue. But she didn't, instead Hinata came. We have no idea how far they both were from the battle, but seeing how there was nobody near the center of the blast area, I would say that they were both on the outskirts of the battlefield.
That hyuga guy probably told her that Naruto was down, the same way he described the earlier parts of the battle for her. When Naruto transformed into his kyuubi form, it was revealed that she didn't move an inch.
She cried for Naruto's return because she was frightened and wanted somebody to come and rescue her. Why did she call out Naruto's name after she saw the aftermatch of Pain's Shinra Tensei? She must've realized how strong Pain was since he manage to demolish most of the village, and would by now know that Naruto would be no match for him. So why did he call him back? If she really cared about Naruto, she wouldn't have cried for him to return, instead she should've faced Pain for Naruto, preventing him from harming him. She cried for Naruto's return because she wanted him to save her, risk his own life for hers, because she's afraid to die. Does that sound like someone who is willing to risk her life for Naruto? No.
When Sakura charged at Kyuubi, I'm pretty sure Kishi was trying to recreate that sasusaku moment from chunin exams. And she knew full well that Naruto wasn't his usual 'I'll protect you Sakura-chan' self. No, she didn't expect to be attacked.. all she was thinking was, "I bet I can bring him to normal... here goes nothing."
Well, I'm glad you agree with me on that. She charged at him thinking he wouldn't hurt her. And suddenly Naruto "Bitch-slapped" her. Sakura didn't risk her life trying to save him because she didn't know about his lose of conscience while he's in that form.
During the Chunin exams, when Orochimaru kicked the crap out of Sasuke and put that weird seal on Naruto. Sakura was the only one left, and took care of both of them, not just Sasuke. Naruto was lying next to Sasuke. Why? Because she picked him up and put him on her back as well, and took them to where ever she took them. She then stared at them both and vowed to protect both of them. If Sasuke wasn't around, she would've protected Naruto with everything she had as well.
Just before Gaara put her in the timed sand coffin, she put herself out to defend a completely defenseless Sasuke, even though she knew Gaara was the one who did it to him. She knew she couldn't do anything but maybe defend herself and Sasuke. Yeah, she did get her ass kicked, and she did absolutely nothing. But she risked her life doing so. And Sakura was pulling something similar to ch437 Hinata, when Sasuke was about to leave.. yeah.

Ok, but still it's Sasuke we're talking about here. He shouldn't be included in Sakura "sacrifice her own life for list". Because he's already been in it for like.....Forever. But this is Naruto we're talking about, and some other Konoha shinobis.
And as for protecting unconcious Naruto & Sasuke. Well I don't like writing the same things again, so I'll copy & paste what I wrote ealier
Renegade: The sound ninjas? She hated Naruto during that time, and if Sasuke wasn't lying next to Naruto, I would've said you were right. She was definitly more concerned about protecting Sasuke back then.
I still doubt she would risk her life for Naruto if Sasuke wasn't there with him. Sure she would fight them off, but definitely not risk her life or fight with her full power just to protect Naruto as she would have for Sasuke.
Fine... the bridge builder thing isn't much of an argument, yeah. But she didn't ***** out, fall to her knees, clasp her face and cry, did she? It at least proves that even from the beginning, she wasn't some selfish scared-y-cat bitch...
She was completely in shock the entire time and was counting on her teammates to do the fighting for her while she was standing there looking, and would paralyze everytime the enemy came close to her.
Missing the point. She took a death blow for Chiyo, and she almost blew herself up while thinking that she needs to stay alive to save Naruto and Sasuke. She risked her life for her teammate. And as for her actual abilities... I completely agree. We haven't seen what she can do on her own yet.
Maybe I did, but I just felt like writing it down, lol.
Did she really sacrifice herself for her? How can we be sure about that? I mean let's not forget that she's a trained medic, so he knows pretty well where the vital organs are located etc etc. She ran in front of chiyo and took the stab, she knew it wouldn't kill her because move in the line of the stab and had it penetrate her body at the right position so it wouldn't hit any vital organs. But most importantly, she did it because if Chiyo had died, Sasori would've pwned her so easily.
And chiyo is just a stanger she met in Sunagakura. Even if she did risk her own life for her, Chiyo still wasn't a Konoha shinobi and a close friend. If she would risk her life for strangers instead of her own friends, then she's not the most reliable ally to have on your side.
I completely agree. We haven't seen what she can do on her own yet.
And you won't. There are no enemies left in the manga who's powers are down to her level.
The battle against Sasori, that's the best you'll get.

Thinking back, this whole "Sacrifce" subject isn't really what I hate about her, it's her attitude that I hate.
I think you pretty much know what I mean, so I don't want to bother myself with writing it down for you.
