if you feel threatened do you follow the threat??

do you get out of the car and approach the threat?

does that sound like self defense?

why is it not considered self defense for treyvon is being followed by a man he thought to be suspicious with a gun

lets no be one sided now...you say he had right to defend himself but treyvon didnt??? yeah ok

Sir, your causing a scene, Im going to politely ask you to leave this thread.

what ever you say dude. fact is....

he had no business following him or anyone else based on the fact some one looks suspicious. The police have to have a better reason to pull you over and its probable cause.

And if your a grown man you dont attack a child

and you dont kill an unarmed man.

nothing is blown out of proportion. a grown man killed an unarmed kid and no consequences were faced.

Child or an unarmed man which is it?

Most people on this whole Trayvon Martin controversy haven't even paid attention to the actual trial in its entirety and just go by the verdict (not saying you specifically, but most people). Overall it's a difficult topic of 'what is self-defense'. Do I think the verdict was correct? Yes, in terms of a second degree murder, it was called correctly due to a weak argument on the prosecution's part. It's hard to swallow but legally it was right. Morally however, is another issue.

I guess dude. if you guys would rather justify the reasons for a grown man killing a boy then I will leave. the fact is a life was lost and should be remembered. if you wanna focus on defending zimmerman be my guest...

They both were wrong, Zimmerman shouldn't of followed the kid. Trayvon also didn't need to flip out either.

Am I mad that Zimmerman didn't have to pay any consequences, No. As far as I know he was protecting his own life.

And who is going to turn and confront someone with a gun when they are unarmed anyway? Would you fight somone who had a gun?
I feel bad for the kid don't get me wrong. But it shouldn't of happened in the first place.

Question , what if that where your child or brother/sister? Just cause you have a hoodie on you look suspicious ? Zimmerman was looking for trouble man. There's no proof that trayvon attacked first. Witnesses said they only heard noise no one saw anything but Zimmerman and trayvon. And personal I don't know anybody who would attack an armed person(defiantly with a shotgun).

Yeah, talking about real issues with kids is apparently a dumb idea. this was never a topic for an anime website with kids who dont grasp the gravity of a grown man attacking a boy on the grounds of 'he looked suspicious'

Bro, I wasn't even defending him in the first place. They were both wrong in their own way, the occurance shouldn't have happened in the first place. I even said Zimmerman shouldn't have followed him, you just responded to my comment the wrong way and blew it out of proportion. I get where your coming from, but IMO is was self defense.

And ill leave it at that, we didn't need to have this argument, its all nonsense. Ill respect your opinion, just please do the same of mine, and we're good.

Ok, but my sister or brother would be smart enough to NOT confront a man with a gun.

Honestly, No offense.

It's a bad thing in the world when you can't walk home or wherever from the store without being "suspious."

But he didn't know until during their fight.

No Zimmerman didn't hide the gun he had it licensed.. trayvon saw it but can he do in that exact moment ... what would anyone do when facing down a barrel ? Zimmerman had to have pointed it at him and trayvon grabbed it because he was scared and apparently not ready to die thus leading to a fight. Zimmerman ended up on top. If he didn't want to shoot him he would have just held him down. He was In a dominant position of power and abused it. Then he got away with it.

Jesus Christ, let it go already. Shit like this happens every day, but this is only a big deal because the Media made it a Racial issue.

He wan't a good kid, and all the evidence pointed towards him.

Zimmermen shouldn't of followed him in the first place, but Trayvon didn't need to go apeshit.

Oh well.
Zimmerman was actually walking back to his car when it happened.
