After reviewing this newly released information, Hamura only had one descendent. Now how is it possible that he survive all this time? Why would he just now decide to strike when everybody is strong as hell and it'll make things 1000 times harder for him? If my theory is right, how did he get sealed in the first place?

He actually didn't survive all this time. He got sealed in the scroll, which it seems stops time for that person, and puts a pause on their age. Thus why he still looks so youthful. OR he actually is that old, but retains his youthfulness using a more advanced version of Tsunades tech. There are answers to this.

Why did he just now decide to strike? Well bcuz he was sealed. xd

How did he get sealed? Asura and Indra, as different as their ideals were, both shared ONE DESIRE: World peace. Toneri however... had other plans in mind. He either wanted to conquer the world himself... or destroy it altogether as a Kaguya sympathizer to preserve chakra users and stop it from being passed down.

And in the end when you think about it, it can really only be Toneri. If it was Hamura he would've played a role, or we'd have seen him throughout the spoilers released. Hagoromo was already there and Kaguya has played her part. Also Madara was already on the field so it's not him.
