People just can't accept each other's beliefs for some apparent reason.

Of course they are. Thats why it was humans who created religions, to spread their evil roots through other ways. And money is an even better example

But I don't exactly think religion is, because most religions promote some form of peace with ourselves and others
Humans just twist it

Outdated cliché...

It is very difficult to think of any organised human activity that could not be corrupted…The lesson is that anti-religious corruptions and religious corruptions are both possible. There is no magic system or belief, not even belief in liberal democracy, which can be guaranteed to prevent it.

“[T]he statement that wars have been fought in the name of God is a non sequitur. As the theologian Walter Wink once pointed out, more people have died in the twentieth century’s secular wars than in the preceding fifty centuries of fighting combined…. No religious war in history, not all the religious wars of history added together, did as much damage as this century’s wars of nationalism and ideology.”

The purpose of religion was to prevent violence and hatred as well as to set moral/ethical/behavioral standards. It is the Human's interpretation that causes war.

It brings hope, unity, and comfort at the thought of the afterlife. Not to mention humanitarian efforts.
Religion is a very, very large institution. And like every very large institution, while there is goodness, there is also corruption. You act as if you're somehow intelligent for pointing out the corruption. Not only that, but if there weren't religion, humanity would find something else stupid to kill each other over. It's the way we are.
I don't like religion for the most part either, but you just come off as an edgy tween who just got his Xbox taken away by his parents.
