I have had this theory since I read chapter 589.

If Rinnegan is needed to bring out a perfect Susanoo, I thought the SO6P must have had a Susanoo too. Now When I read that The perfect susanoo is comparable to a bijuu, I couldn't help but think: What is the monster connected in legend with the SO6P? Could it be that the Ten tails is actually The late sage's Susanoo?
Well, Bijuus sizes are comparable to Susanoos. And in the later chapters, Kurama says that the Juubi doesn't have a conscience (Just like a Susanoo). Also, gaining Kurama's chakra cloak did make Naruto (and now his dad's) appearance similar to the SO6P.
The only thing against this is the story of SO6P we know. Well, all I can say is, that may be someone made that story up? Some one either after the Sage or the Sage himself, and wrote it on the tablet? For what reasons I know not. What do you think? Being the ancestor of all Uchihas and the possessor of Rinnegan, the sage would've had his own susanoo, wouldn't he?
