How are madara and hashirama's spirits around if they were the previous life of sasuke and naruto? Like madara's soul should be one and the same as sasukes soul since they both are the reincarnation of indra... I think kishi messed things up .-.

I think your misunderstand. Hashirama is alive since he is Edo Tensei so theoretically he probably has some of the spirit left.

And Madara is still alive because he said himself that he still had Indra's soul.

They weren't reincarnated as Hashirama and Madara/Naruto and Sasuke, they reincarnated to them. Their spirits possessed Naruto and Sasuke

No. They're not reincarnations of madara or harishima. It just so happen that the spirits of the 2 sons lived within harishima and madara as well as sasuke and naruto. So sasuke wouldnt have madara within him.

Once Hashirama and Madara died, they no longer reside in them. Now Indra and Ashura's Chakra has has transmigrated into Naruto and Sasuke. Of Course Madara created a problem before his transmigration was over as explain by the Sage of Six Paths.

Also, Madara and Sasuke does not posses the same soul. They were only reincarnates of Indra.
