[Debate] Regular Ninjas vs Regular Pirates

Regular Ninja's and pirates. Not pirates from OP or ninja's from naruto. I'm talking about the first ninjas verse pirates from ships. Who wins?

Hey man... There is nothing wrong with getting drunk off your ass and slashing and shooting stuff.

It's my typical Friday event. I dare a ninja to challenge it.

Pirates have guns and ships. Ninja's are cool and lethal, but unless they attack when the pirates are asleep, than the Pirates win. I don't even like Pirates either, but they win.

That bothered me, since I love Knights. But it makes sense, guns just override everything. If they can beat an armored knight, they can beat a ninja.

Real ninjas were usually just Chinese villagers with a bit of skill fighting and killing who fought against Japanese imperial rule. They weren't some elite band of warriors with any real organization or anything. Pirates had skill with blades, numbers, guns, cannons, ships, money, and monkeys. While ninjas could assassinate pirates when they came to shore one by one, in an all out battle they would get shot while trying to ride rafts towards fully armed ships.

Not really. They did good against samurai because they fought dirty and were sneaky, but that only worked against samurai because samurai had super strict rules of engagement that would often get them killed because they would dishonor their family if they didn't fight and die a certain way. Pirates had no such rules, better tools, and weren't all fools. Pirates were portrayed as drunken fools in movies, but in reality they were able to hold their own against European soldiers and perform hostile takeovers of trade ships, they were some bad dudes.

The ninjas would climb aboard, the pirates parrots and monkeys would freak out, and the first time one woke up and yelled "YAARRRRR WERE UNDER ATTACK BY SLANT EYED SWABS" they would all wake up, grab guns, shoot ninja. Ninja were not the mighty warriors that they are portrayed as in anime, they kicked ass don't get me wrong, but mainly all they did is stab people in their sleep, bust out sneak attacks, and light peoples houses on fire. Or rob people. Pirates also were not all the drunken fools they are portrayed as. Most pirates were capable fighters themselves, and Guns > shuriken. The ninja could assassinate a few pirates I'm sure, but they would get owned by pirates overall.

yes but its not, its real ninjas vs real pirates, which would be pirates all day.

First off they could go out and sneak up onto the ship if it was within sight. Secondly if they were in the ocean they wouldn't bother killing them until they returned. Third smoke bombs and drunken idiots with guns would make for a nasty fight that pirates aren't used to.
