This part right here in the bold. It makes me wonder what kinda thinking people like you have here. When you join a community like this one, are you there to harm it or make it better? Do you as a member feel satisfied with yourself on how much you contribute to this community? I'd like to know your answer before I say anything further.
let me ask you this: if i were to make a thread praising today's anime, what kind of responses would I have been met with? "Yeah, I agree," or "No, this could've been better," or some other bland response? What kind of conversational engagement is that? Do I feel engaged with those who respond on said thread with their few words? Or is it more satisfying (at a conversational level) to elicit a response from your thread readers where you can continually engage in argumant or whatever it is you wish to engage in?
a few joke threads are neither harmful nor beneficial; this community we're a part of is here for the sole reason that we all have at least one common like: the Naruto manga. To engage in conversation is the purpose of this base. And as of late every other thread discusses the same things over and over again--Kakashi vs Sasuke, Kakashi vs Naruto, Kaguya vs Madara, etc. It's the same theories over and over again. Isn't me mixing it up a bit like this a breath of fresh air? Isn't what I'm doing evolving the base from the linear path its been on to something a little more sociable?
"Do you as a member feel satisfied with yourself on how much you contribute to this community?"
compared to all the other threads that follow the same theme in light of shippuden's encroaching death? Yeah, I think I am contributing something a little refreshing to this base, and I do feel a bit satisfied
EDIT: however, you looking down on me does make me feel somewhat ashamed. Yes, trolling is a very passive aggressive way of eliciting conversation, but hey, at least we're talking now.
I look at what I'm doing as something shy of preserving this community we come to. This base will surely meet its doom unless it changes its focus from the same threads over and over again, and mutates into something more of a chatroom, where everyone on the base is still sharing at least one thing in common. But who knows, with the advancement of this community, maybe more will find other things to have in common with the other members
how long can sharing one common interest--naruto--keep this base alive?
