Sasuke is indeed a taker. But that's what he's supposed to be as a character. He represents a genius who gets everything without trying, while Naruto has to work his ass off. This final fight shows the ultimate accumulation of what Sasuke and Naruto represent. Sasuke reaches the pinnacle form of his given powers (Rinnegan from Sage, eternal vision from Itachi, bijuu chakra from Naruto/the bijuus, and a few more) while Naruto reaches the pinnacle of his hard earned power (Triple Kurama, controlling the chakras perfectly, sage mode, etc).

There's nothing wrong with Sasuke gaining powers the easy way. That's what he's supposed to do, people. I think we're forgetting this one important theme that Kishi is trying to emphasize. Hard work vs. Genius has always been a main component of the story, ever since the start. This battle only serves to amplify this message.

And seeing the trend of this theme, we know that hard work will eventually dominate (Ashura beats Indra). Therefore, Naruto will most likely beat Sasuke in this match. Unless if Kishi decides "to hell with this story, I wanna wrap it up asap", which would kinda suck.

Nope. It was important theme only for Lee and Neji.
