How can a younger version of him use all of Konoha's jutsu when an older, more knowledgeable Hiruzen can't? Most of Konoha's jutsu don't use up much chakra anyway.

The only other jutsu he learned when was older was the RDS. Simply, Hiruzen just didn't have the Chakra reserves to handle too much jutsu during the battle.
