What if the Kamuiland is a physics test version, a 'beta' version of the world, basically where whoever created the world tested the physics on.
It's a bit far-fetched, I know, but it wouldn't be bad.
Or maybe it was SoSP's resting place, training place, where he could try anything and control flow of time.

The dimension was definetely created by something else rather than just a MS. So I was thinking Rikudo, it might've been a place where he even fought Juubi, maybe he teleported it there and controlled the flow of time, etc.
