So did Gai fully complete the evening elephant or did he fail on the fifth attack? It kinda looked weak in comparison but maybe he built all that power up into one punch.

It could explain why Madara is not as effected as he made it seem he would be, but maybe Madara is just that strong. I dunno what do you guys think?

Madara is strong but also got more weak before he was fighting the gai who didn't open the 8th gate... He is compleately damaged by the evening elephant and by the hit that gai hit him and he explained that he got the feel of fight which he fought hashirama and he is still able to stand and fight because he has the jubi inside him which is a great advantage to him and also hasiramas senju and sage power..... Which explains the strength in him
