[Suggestion] Regarding contest awards !!!!

Hello mods and admins, i don't know whether this thread is already made or not but i was taking part in many contest lately and i have seen award of 2nd and 3rd place winners equal you know, i mean there is no distinction between 2nd and 3rd place winner-all they get is just a simple medal which doesn't seems to me logical there must be some distinction. The 1st place winner gets all the privilege while others 2 have to be just satisfied by medal of-course its better than nothing but then again.. So, i believe the rewards should be like this :-

1st place winner :- Change Username, have cyan Username color, temporarily larger avatars and a medal (as it is)
2nd place winner :- Change Username or have cyan username (whichever they like), medal and temporary larger avatars.
3rd place winner :- Temporary larger avatar and a medal.

In that case there will be more participants or infact better participants also. Its just a suggestion but you are brains of this site, you better know what to do, i'm just sayin

I dont see much difference between the first two! but yea nice Idea though. Caliburn Please take this as a suggestion for the Art contest of the month. I just feel this change is utmost needed for art contest of the month. The 1st place winner gets a name change and color change while the second and third place gets the medal alone. It would be great if a temporary Larger avy or Name change is available for second place and a temporary larger avy for third place!

My opinion:

Meaning that, if that person won the large avatar, as long as that person doesn´t change the avatar, the avatar will be permanently large. Cyan username has always been kept for first place. If 2nd place also gets this prize, then the first place prize would lose its meaning.

Therefore, in my opinion, it´s well that it stays how it is.

So, basically what you are saying is that the first place winner deserves the name change, Larger avy, Color change and a medal and the second and third place winners deserve nothing but a medal? come on. atleast the second place deserves something better than a medal. The prize is too biased towards the first place winners. The cyan color clearly is for the 1st place winner he/she deserves that but there should be something for the 2nd place winner!.

Before, second and first place used to be differentiated using Kumi.

I don't agree with your suggestion completely anyway, the only thing I agree with here, is second place members getting a name change.

Also, different competitions have different awards. Like in FUB, second and third place don't even get awards, because the contest is weekly.

Yes, Weekly contest are good as it is. There is no change needed for those contest. In the case of monthly contest, your suggestion will be a good idea. The second place atleast deserves a name change or a temp larger avy atleast. I don't think the prize is biased towards first place on any other contest other than Art of the Month!
