This question is far overdue. Karin's Connection? I find it interesting, and really funny how both the fanbase and Sarada makes the connection between the two characters based off a single thing, the glasses. Other than that we have very little (actually nothing) that supports the claim that Sarada is actually the daughter of Karin and Sasuke, rather than of Sasuke and Sakura. Though I am here to offer an other explanation as to why it seems like Sarada is in the possession of Karin's glasses. It is simple, it is all a coincidence, but before you go and scream out "NO!" let me explain. We know that Sasuke cared for his comrades in some way, chapter 699 confirms that. But we never knew how much he cared for Taka, or if he did at all. I assume that he cared somewhat, but during the events of the Kage Summit he was too blinded by hatred to focus on it. Though I assume that Sasuke may have joined up with Taka again after his departure prior to the main story's ending. (Or at the very least, met them sometime afterwards.) This may have been where Karin and Sasuke met again. It is possible that Karin passed away, or they simply parted ways with each other. (Karin and Suigetsu may have ended up together for example, or she may just have decided to go another way or Sasuke did.) Because of this, she may have given her glasses to Sasuke as a token for her love and to give Sasuke something to remember her by should they never meet again. As to why Sasuke would accept the glasses, it rather unknown but he may just have realized that she'd nag him until he took it and just took them right away. Upon returning to Konoha and marrying Sakura, Sasuke must've changed his gear (as the gear he wore in The Last seemed rather worn out) and perhaps left the glasses behind. (I doubt that Sakura had any worries about Sasuke cheating on her, seeing how it doesn't seem that Sakura dislikes Karin in anyways, keeping her in the image with Sasuke.) When Sarada was born, Sakura may have given the glasses to her when they figured out she needed them. Or Sarada herself may have taken a liking to them when she was a baby. (Even though Sakura tried to tell her not to, you know how much babies like to take stuff of shelves.) Though I have another possible theory. Which is that Karin at some point met Sakura and Sarada when Sarada was still a baby. (She may have gone to check on the child of Sasuke, out of jealousy or interest, I don't know.) During a talk with Sakura, she may have commented on how Sarada may need glasses when she grows up and thus Karin gave Sakura a spare she kept with her. (This is certainly something Karin could have done, because by doing so, a part of her will be a part of Sasuke's child. Probably making her the "aunt" in her eyes, which makes her the same family as Sasuke, hence she is crazy.) My point is, this is very much possible. |

| it was confirmed, where? Also, you should really make it a habit to read threads before replying. You may believe you know what it is going to say, but you may also be wrong. (Which is what I assume you are, when I just read your post. Because I made no claim that she was Karin's daughter.) |

So by me saying that Karin may have given her glasses to Sakura, then I'm saying that Karin is the mother? Again, you should really read the thread until you've understood it. As the point of this thread was to give two other possible ways for Karin to have a connection to Sarada without being her mother. |

Well we do know Sasuke cared about Team Taka,he thought about them,and Team 7 during the Bee fight.
