One of the many, many, many new announcements at Microsoft’s E3 press conference was of a newly designed Xbox 360 which will be quieter and smaller than the current ‘S’ spec.
The problem is the new and improved Xbox 360 looks remarkably similar to the Xbox One, almost distressingly so as if it’s been designed to confuse would be buyers. Take a look for yourself:
It’s a no brainer for Microsoft to design the Xbox 360 now, especially with over 48 million units sold worldwide, it’s just strange that they’ve chosen a form factor which is so similar to the Xbox One. The redesigned Xbox 360 is available from retailers right now, priced at around £129.99.
Do you think are we making a mountain out of a molehill, or will these two similar boxes cause confusion in the marketplace come launch day?
