[PS4] Red Dead Redemption 2 vs Last of Us 2

I've never played either of the originals but I'm definitely more excited for RDR2. Looking forward to Rockstar producing a fully current gen game compared to GTAV as a port of last gen. Gonna be epic I imagine.

It looks good but playing good and telling a story and living up to the hype is all Naughty Dog.
This is only the second game of this series. I've never played RD but heard and saw a lot about it but I'm interested to see "the greatest game of all time" by some of these fap tards.

Chill, most these people haven't even owned LOU yet they have an opinion it. LOU isn't a game you're gonna be amazed by watching vids of it.

Why would you want to watch videos foo? Play the damn game and LOU2 probably won't even be the same, RD2 obviously isn't gonna be the same it could be utter trash making all the changes but faith wise I'd go with Naughty Dog, best track record for games and that's facts.
I'm talking about all these replies here, people who played and beat LOU wouldn't be saying the things I'm reading, you can just tell.
Rockstar has a solid track record too, but yea Naughty Dog never fails to deliver so if I had to absolutely put my money on it, I'd bet on LOU 2 as the safer pick.

hmm, thats a good question. i want both to be awesome and the first games were legendary
but i think Red Dead Redemption will be better. especially in terms of the first game to the second. they have way more room to expand on the series from the first game than Last of Us imo to make it seem highly improved

I beat LOU and wasn't impressed. What gameplay mechanics make this game stand above other 3rd person shooters? Liking the story of a game doesn't make the game good. If the gameplay is shit so is the game for me (a good example is TWD). LOU is ok, but not outstanding or GOTY material.
Gameplay always comes first in a game for me and story 2nd. That's why I love the MGS series, best of both worlds.
LOU actually doesn't play like your traditional shooter. If you've played online enough you would know it plays nothing like one. You can't even step out into the open for a moment, and it is extremely slow paced. Maybe the shooting mechanics, but not the gameplay as a whole.
Also even talking about gameplay, the attention to detail in game, is truly something else. That's what separates naughty dog from everyone else, they focus on every little detail in game. You are way too focused on one aspect of the game (which is wanting it to be completely original), either that or you expect a sandbox game, which it isn't.
