If anyone here knows anything about home studios.
I've been mixing with only my headphones but today i got my hands on two Krk Rokit 5 monitors. What cables, input/outputs do i use to hook them up to my audio interface? (profire 610)

You need whats called an XLR to TRS cable ( or alternatively you can use TRS to TRS) as you will want to connect the monitors to the interface using BALANCED setting. (See the back of the monitor image shown below.

here is the back of your monitor:

You must be registered for see images

Connect the male end of an XLR to TRS cable into the back of each Monitor in the XLR In:

Connect the TRS end into the back of the Interface into two of the 'Line outputs' on the back of the interface:

Ive shown an XLR to TRS in the above photo. The TRS end plugs into the interface as shown in the photo below, so 1 monitor will plug in 1 and the other in 2:

Alternatively you can get TRS to TRS and as there is also this option on the back of the monitor.

Using these options will give you much better sound then using RCA, which will usually return pops and crackles etc. I also have a home studio and am planning to get some new monitors soon as well. I hope this helps, let me know how it goes.
