So I thought there should be a thread where people can recommend movies so that others have an idea of what to do on a bored evening.

Movie has to be released atleast on 2011, but the more newer the more bigger the chance is that people haven't seen it.

I would recommend is Drive (2011)

Why it didn't won Oscars is beyond me. I will give it 8½ and that is based on acting, filmingstyle, soundtrack and the storyline.

What are your recommendations?

OT: 21 Jump Street is very funny.

People would have posted: "Star Wars!! Godfather! Indiana Jones"..like someone hasn't seen those

What's your point? If I go to the movies and see what they have to offer is that the same as recommendation?? LOL!
Why shouldn't people discuss movies. Gives each other the idea of what to watch.

Are you f*cking kidding me? Jason Statham, Rober de Niro, Cliwe Owen and Dominic Purcell in a same movie and I haven't heard about it! I would add some women to that list so that this wouldn't sound so gay but didn't see anyone I knew in the cast listing.

But anyways wtf, this is a must see.

EDIT: just finished watching it, have to say a nice movie. Seemed like a bit of a cliche at first but it was allright action and spysh*t with good actors until the end. Positive add was that the time the movie took place was at the start of 80's so no fancy technology sh*t on this one.
