Recommend a full complete anime

I am currently looking for a new anime to watch, but most of the newer animes I checked out are one or two short seasons which only cover the beginning part of the manga source material, and then leave the audience hanging, not knowing when or if it will continue.

I would like to watch a complete story, something that is either not a manga adaptation to begin with or at least a complete adaptation. It shouldnt be too short, but not having hundreds of episodes either. I guess 26-52 would be good. Genre is not that important, but something with battles and a compelling main villain/threat is prefered.

Any ideas?

Hum, I actually have watched very few animes ever that fall into the categories I described...

Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny

Of course m8, OPM is great in every possible way. But OP's standards are more inclined towards the likes of Death Note, dragon ball, steins;gate etc...

Two of them I haven't seen listed are:
Soul Eater (Because It's great)
World Trigger. (It's currently the most popular series in jump consistently and got an anime about a year back. It isn't complete and is also above your episode boundaries, but its only at 60 or so episodes so far, and it wont be like, Naruto long. The manga is great too. It is available on crunchyroll for free.)
