[Discussion] Recently the animation has been really bad.

Don't get me wrong, the pictures themselves are well drawn and clear, it's just the active animation (when characters move) is terrible.

Look at the dragons, it just looks so bad when they walk. Also every fight seems to be a picture slide show with minor movements.

The animation was so much better before the hiatus. Just watch Natsu vs Jellal or Natsu vs Zero for comparison.

However I am liking the OSTs even more now.

I liked the old animation better as well. Everything looks so stiff and there seems to be a lot more still frames than before.

Yep, I completely agree. Even the fights are like slideshows. It shows one character getting punched, then the other punching back. It's been like this since the tournament started.

The only exception would be Natsu and Gajeel vs Sting and Rogue. That fight looked pretty good.

I am not the one to say whether is good or bad but I have watched last 4 episodes of FT Anime(Dragons arc hype).It is neither Best nor Worst but it is good enough.The art style is better but the Background Animation & effects are not appealing to me.But when I re-watched it in 1080p I have no complaints.It is like Scenes are going in dark,Kinda like dark animation.Well that is night in the anime tho.

Edit - Just saw the preview from recent Episode.Seems like Next episode's animation is excellent

FT had a great one too but seems like they like to follow OP now and getting worse and worse with every episode..
