Reborn does not take after his father in terms of physical stature. Reborn is a short, rather light weight individual with a lean ecto-mesomorph figure (70/30). Reborn’s height is likely a result of his mother’s genetics, with the members of her family being shorter in stature. As for his physique, due to a high metabolism and the amount of physical training he endures on a regular basis, he burns mass quicker than he gains. The only real upside to this is that a majority of his weight is lean muscle leaving slightly more than the essential body fat necessary for somebody of his size and age. For a small guy he’s at his peak physical development.
Needless to say due to his size Reborn doesn’t possess a very imposing or intimidating air to him on first glance. His facial features don’t do much to assist him in this department either. Very much like his father, Reborn does not possess any distinguishing facial hair. The only abundance of hair on Reborn’s body is on his head. He has long black hair which he generally keeps in a Queue hairstyle, common among the Xing Kingdom (see Origin story). His expressionless brown eyes and young face lead people to think he’s still well under aged, which often time annoys him. Reborn tells himself he’s just a graceful ager to compensate for his young appearance.
Despite his appearance Reborn hasn’t faced much ridicule. Ironically enough Reborn’s natural presence goes unnoticed unless he puts efforts to make himself known. This has nothing to do with his clan’s abilities but rather how insignificant he comes off most of the time. He can, however, make his presence very vibrant and cast a shadow much larger than himself with his…strong personality. Reborn’s natural “lack of a presence” combined with his ability to make himself known is something of a universal gag about his clan’s ability.

Reborn is the heir to the Hayabusa clan, thus it would make sense that he carries himself in a fashion that displays honor and reflects positively on his clan. If somebody were to come out and say that Reborn is a blunt, crude, and pretentious son of a *****, it would be rather confusing that that these were the characteristics attributed of a clan leader.
Reborn’s entire upbringing was left in the hands of his caretakers who were strict, fair, and caring for him as a child. Both of Reborn’s parents were dignified, strong willed, wise individuals who gave the perfect image of what Reborn was to aspire to. For the most part, that was the case. Reborn is very astute and aware of the social settings and displays dignified behavior toward others who are not on personal terms with him. Actually, it is more appropriate to say this is the behavior he displays to those he has respect for or has no reason not to show respect to. Reborn’s actual personality, which is revealed only to those close to him or those he feels don’t warrant his respect, is a completely different story.
Reborn has always been stern which radiates a somewhat unfriendly air to him. This nature is exacerbated by an incredible forthrightness and blunt behavior that often gets Reborn the reputation as a rude, belligerent individual. Even in situations where Reborn is expected to be professional, if his triggers are hit, Reborn’s personality can take a 180 almost instantly. When conducting tests or training Reborn is especially strict; his low tolerance for failure and incompetency are triggers for his harshness. He has referred to people as “atrocities” and never makes secret his discontent for their performances in tests. He is so unused to praising people he’s almost speechless when he comes across a descent test.
In training, Reborn has berated many students with a sharp tongue for general incompetence that he felt came as a result of a deficiency in common sense. In one instance Reborn expressed utter contempt for a brand new student. The child was barely even a genin in skill and knowledge but Reborn developed a migraine trying to get the child to follow basic instructions. By the time the two of them were actually able to start training, Reborn had already resented the child. When starting training with this student Reborn said:“I'm going to do everything in my power to make this as unpleasant as possible but so rich and rewarding in knowledge you cannot hope to be ungrateful. Do you understand me?” Reborn is especially harsh with mistakes that are repeated more than twice as he hates having to repetitiously correct the same thing multiple times. Reborn is also uncompromisingly stubborn at times. The same student from before was eventually dropped and due to Reborn’s stubbornness he refused to teach the boy again despite now looking at the boy as a kid brother. Reborn's Techniques and Seals
(Fūinjutsu: Shirizokeru) Sealing Art: Repulse

Description: This is a special two way seal, that can be created by writing the formula on your body and then injecting either Fire or Earth chakra into it where it then lays dormant on the body, turning invisible, until activated. Once the user has been engaged within close range with an enemy that attempts to inject chakra within the users body through taijutsu the seal will activate on the users body, appearing around the initial area of contact, absorbing the injected chakra into it while injecting the opponent's body part with either Fire or Earth chakra. The user still takes the full hit of the taijutsu attack, but with one hand seal from the user, the opponent will either feel an extreme burning feeling in their joints as they attempt to move them or an extreme stiffness depending on the chakra placed in the seal. This prevents the opponent from performing any hand seals in their next turn. This seal can only absorb up to B ranked chakra at once, and only one type of chakra seal can be place on the body. The seal can activate up to three separate times throughout the battle, through 3 separate B ranked chakra injecting taijutsu moves, where the sealing formula then breaks and fades. The user will not be able to create the seal again until the battle is over.

Background:
History:
Upbringing
Reborn was born at the end of the winter season. His birth was a symbol of spring itself bringing new life into the world after a cycle of death. Jo Hayabusa, the previous leader of the Hayabusa and Reborn’s grandfather had fallen ill several years before Reborn’s birth. In the beginning of the winter of Reborn’s birth, Jo’s condition worsened significantly. As well, Reborn’s mother Kureha became sickly during the last trimester of her pregnancy with Reborn. Kureha was already a rather frail woman and to prevent complications with Reborn she utilized a great deal more of her chakra to sustain Reborn and give him the nutrients he needed. On the day Reborn was born, both Kureha and Jo died. Jo’s death preceded his grandson’s arrival into the world and Kureha passed shortly after losing all of her chakra to give birth to her child. As a result, Reborn’s father Ryu decided to name him “Rin’ne” after the Samsara cycle of death and rebirth; believing his son to be the reincarnation of Jo and Kureha. Rin’ne decided to go by, “Reborn” when he was around 5 years old and the only people to continue calling him Rin’ne or simply “Rin” for short were Ryu and a few other close friends and relatives.
Due to his mother’s death, Reborn was left in the hands of two caretakers, Momiji and Genjiro. Momiji was Kureha’s younger sister, making her Reborn’s maternal aunt and Genjiro was the head instructor of the Hayabusa clan during Reborn’s childhood. Both of these two were skilled shinobi and instilled their knowledge of Hayabusa Kobudo and Neidan into Reborn. Momiji was a gentle, sweet, and protective big sister to Reborn while Genjiro was a strict yet fair mentor.
Within the clan Reborn progressed quicker than most, similar to his father. By the age of 8 he was able to use Wujin actively for short periods of time and his Taijin abilities extended to even adults who’s experience exceeded his age. Upon completing the basic shinobi principles: Ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu, Reborn was given the rank of Jounin by Genjiro and promptly began learning about Neidan manipulation. It took Reborn another 6 years to complete the basic nature elements and the clan’s Neidan techniques. At 14 Reborn was as strong, if not stronger than both Genjiro and Momiji and was close to rivaling Ryu. However, it was his intellect and knowledge of Neidan that was truly extraordinary. Ryu awarded Reborn with the title of Head Ninja, the same rank as his mentor Genjiro. While Genjiro remained the head instructor, Reborn’s comprehension of their clan’s abilities surpassed even his mentor. Shortly after his 14th birthday Reborn was given a mission by Ryu to journey into the Ninja World by himself for an unspecified period of time. The object of his mission was to become stronger, strong enough to gain the title of Dragon Ninja, which would ascend him to the level of a Master. There was also something about Reborn needing to curb his attitude.

Sage of Yin: Reborn has gained the title of the Sage of Yin. When people realize this, due to looking like a 12 year old, few believe it just as they don’t believe his actual age…Regardless, Reborn’s skill, power, and knowledge more than adequately reflect that of a Sage. In the areas he does not specialize his prowess match those who have spent their entire lives studying just to call themselves among the best. In areas where he does specialize, Reborn is rivaled few, all of whom are true sages like himself. However, Reborn’s Sage title comes from a mastery in genjutsu and Yin Release that he recognizes none greater than him aside from 4 other Sages.
Abilities:
Nature Transformations: Reborn has never been truly keen on elemental techniques despite having a relatively above average comprehension in the basic natures and a few advanced ones. His skills in nature release, while not as refined as his nin, tai, and genjutsu, are still commendable. He has a nature affinity to water release which he has honed to the point it is second only to his genjutsu in casting speed. Expanding from that, he has learned the advanced element, Mushroom Release from one of his beloved mentors which is an earth and water based element. On the opposite spectrum he has also learned Decay Release and Empyrean Wind. The former is a fire and lightning based technique while the latter is an advanced wind nature element. Thus Reborn is competent enough in the nature release to use advanced elements from all five natures.
Yin-Yang: Reborn is a master of the highest form of Ninjutsu, Yin-Yang Release. Reborn has gained the enlightenment of his Hayabusa ancestors from his travels into the ninja world which allowed him to master both his clan’s arts and Yin-Yang. Because of the nature of Yin-Yang, Reborn is incredibly stronger both spiritually and physically than the average shinobi. As for his physical vitality, Reborn is more resistant to damage and has higher chakra reserves than most shinobi equivalent in rank.
Genjutsu: Reborn’s aptitude in genjutsu is his proudest and most notable feature. He is currently one of the 5 Genjutsu Sages, a group created by Reborn himself that recognizes four other sages ahead of him in genjutsu knowledge, skill, and power. While it is often seen as arrogant to place oneself within a group of masters, few would argue with Reborn’s ability in genjutsu. He has mastered well over 100 illusionary techniques and 70 of which are non-hybrid techniques. As well, even before mastering Yin-Yang Release, Reborn was able to imbue genjutsu into elemental natures, a feat achieved only by the other 4 members of the Genjutsu sages and those who have studied directly under them. Having mastered Yin-Yang only increases the strength of his genjutsu capabilities. As such, genjutsu is Reborn’s primary affinity.
Taijutsu Master and Close Combat: Reborn’s taijutsu is the child he claims to love just as much as the favorite child but is clearly not the gem of his eye. Taijutsu is honestly a close second to Reborn’s genjutsu, which says a fair deal about what he is capable of by comparison. Reborn’s small frame and stature hides a mastery and aptitude in an array of different taijutsu styles, including Kaito’s Taijutsu and the Eight Inner Gates, two of the most advanced forms of taijutsu to exist. Like other users of the gates, Reborn possesses a set of leg weight that the wears at most times. He is a master in his clan’s Hayabusa Kobudo and practitioner of gentaijutsu hybrids such as Lazy Fist, Drunken Monkey Fist and Surreal Palm.

Hayabusa Master: Living up to his ancestors, Reborn has mastered the Hayabusa clan’s abilities beyond any of the current existing members of his clan. His knowledge, skill, and power is a collection of all the previous generations and thus he is the strongest master of the clan despite his young age. While he is the strongest within the clan, Reborn’s pride is his knowledge. In his upbringing, Reborn became a Head Ninja due to his intellect which surpassed even his caretakers. For Reborn, this meant little as he sought after the wisdom of his ancestors. When finally realizing the insignificance of “knowledge” Reborn gained true wisdom. When he returned, his village asked what he had learned. Reborn responded saying he learned nothing and proceeded to teach nothing…
Gear
Legendary Black Falcon Uniform: This is the uniform worn by most modern day Dragon Ninja within the Hayabusa clan. The uniform consists of an aerodynamic sleeveless leather suit with, forearm and shin protectors, open fingered gloves, tabi boots, full shinobi mask that reveals only the eyes, a black/gray scarf, and a metal forehead protector that resembles a falcon. The suit provides protection against small non-chakra infused projectiles. The forearm and shin protectors are capable of protecting against freeform melee weapons of moderate size (katana, scimitars, general swords and bladed weapons). In Reborn's case, his uniform is a sleek dark gray and black version of the Black Falcon. He keeps 12 kunai on his person at all times, six strapped to his legs and six strapped to his torso just on his ribs. He also carries on his back his ancestor's katana which he inherited from his father. The sheathed sword is strapped to his back, wrapped in a kusarigama such that the bladed end of the kusari is at the end of the sheath. The rest of Reborn's weapons are all sealed on his wrists with a sealing technique. When not wearing the black falcon his standard kimono or training gi will always hide a few projectiles and knives. Reborn often changes the meelee weapon he utilizes from his base katana and kusari. Reborn may carry a large scythe, whose blade is almost his size, which he calls the "Eclipse scythe." He has also often used a large bo staff with sharp blades at the end.

Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal basic ninja tools, like shurikens, kunais, swords, etc into sealing marks placed on their clothes or their body. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks". The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced and one can unleash a barrage of weapons with great speed in a small time window. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in fully extended form beforehand. Sasuke even shown that you can have the weapons connected to wires and linked to their sealing marks and used the technique in sealing marks he placed in his wrist bracers.
