he did the same things as with tobi by teasing with his reveal and kishi is doing the same thing starting with the chapter where the sage was shown as an old man and the reason why the sages face is hidden is probably because he resembles naruto as why else hide his face away if it didnt have any connection to the main characters kishimoto has no reason not to have the sage of six paths reveal himself by the end of the manga
