1.) Is a conflicting character who's motivation doesn't make sense. I want peace! Even though i'm a murdering psychotic fight-lover, worse than Hidan! I'm really good! Honest!

2.) Received pointless power-ups strong for the sake of being strong to fill in the lack of depth.

3.) Motivation was a copy/paste of Obitos.

4.) Flashback was terrible and he turned evil with a flip of a hat. Evil bond villain smile one day & he was outta there. Mm. Interesting.

5.) Replaced genuinely interesting characters in the finale.

Madara before he was edo tensei'd was one of my favourite characters but dayum Kishi made him boring.

I think more than anything, it's because he's a major antagonist. And it's typical of the fanbase to express great amount of dislikeness towards someone of such nature. Although there is more to his character than just villainous elements flowing here and there. There is actually deep meaning and wisdom behind his words and feelings. It's just a matter of understanding I guess. :yeah:

The ones he didn't defeated with genjutsu you say.. He already defeated them with other ways. Only one that got spared was Hiruzen.

Hashirama, Tobirama, Minato, Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto and Kakashi.. He beated them all on his own.

Which ones are u talking about? He solo'd minato, hashi, tobirama, Sasuke, Naruto. Only ones i believe he didn't were the 3rd hokage, kakashi,and sakura.
