As you know kakashi and obito got sucked into kamui and are in a different dimension. Where kakashi is trying to tie up loose ends
1.Minato needs to see who that masked man was- the shocked look on minato's face when he finds out Obito was behind the ninetails attack on the village. epicness
2. Too many good things have happened in a row- The hokages revived and made it to the battlefield, team 7 is reunited, and the shinobi alliance is gaining the upper hand... I believe obito will show up and break the barrier himself. Which will cause chaos to erupt. Which makes for an entertaining story.
3. Need more threats- Madara has the same ideals as the older generation. if his opponent is not worthy to "dance" then he doesn't "dance". Don't blame Madara. He's prolly thinking the shinobi alliance will still die despite the hokages being there which is prolly thinking what would be the pont in fighting. He's held a grudge against hashirama for years and if they're going to fight he will defeat the real one not a clone.
Team 7 also seems to be in high spirits why not destroy that. It adds unpredictability for what happens next.
4. Naruto is the child of prophesy- Naruto is destined to take out the one responsible for the ninetails attack 16 years ago and bring an end to the war. Of course with help from sasuke and sakura.
5. To make an epic appearance by the sage of the 6 paths- All hope will soon be lost when naruto and the others will think it's over until rikudou shows up (if he ever does) Obito will play a part in the alliance's supposed downfall.
