I just don't see any reason for people to hate a fictional character. Everything they do is determined by the creator (Kishimoto) and he wants them to be like that. Hating on a character, escpecially the main character is like hating on his life's work..

Naruto has not always been better than sasuke, sasuke could beat him any time in part 1, he displays better taijutsu and is enhanced by sharingan, only after fighting kakazu did he possibly have a chance, and then he increased his chances as time went on until at several points it was obvious who would win in a one on one fight.

3-sasuke completes tree climbing at the same time with naruto but naruto still has stamina.
4-sasuke copies ganzo''iron fist'' lee's taijutsu,naruto learns summoning jutsu.
5-sasuke learns chidori naruto learns rasengan.
6-naruto fights sasuke with 1 tail but sasuke has to go to cursed mark level 2 to win.
7-sasuke 1st person to injure gaara,naruto takes apart a full tailed beast.
8-naruto survived the 8 trigrams while sasuke was taken down by lee's konoha senpo''leaf whirlwind''
9-sasuke created nagashi chidori naruto created rasen shuriken
10-naruto mastered sage mode himself,sasuke stole itachi's sharingan
