A lot of people having been saying that Kakashi with his new bullshit power up can defeat Might Guy even when he uses the eighth gate and I highly disagree. Here are a few reasons why I think this?
Hashirama was able to defeat Madara Uchiha when he had Perfect Susanoo and Kakashi was nowhere near that level of strength even in the current timeframe as before Sasuke was calling him useless in the battle before getting the PS and he even said that he AND the people that were around at that tie combined could not possibly defeat Madara while in Sage of six paths mode and this was right before Gai used the eighth gate. Kakashi might have gotten PS but so did Hashirama so I don't even believe Hashirama or Madara would have too much trouble with him.
Might Guy was able to blow out Madara in Sage of Six Paths Mode which is far stronger than when Madara was using PS and he even had a barrier surrounding himself against weaker opponents like Sakura for example so Gai could easily break through Kakashi's Susanoo in terms of raw power and speed.
Might Guy can hit Kakashi with his air attacks so he can easily hit Kakashi either way.
Eith way this is why I believe Kakashi still is no match for Gai when he used the eighth gate against Madara. And even so Might Guy blowing Madara out and Kakashi admitting his inferiority to Guy at that point was to solidify that hard work trumps over a genius so Gai is symbolising his hard work to Kakashi and Kakashi getting PS doesn't matter because there are many characters even up until now, like Naruto, Sasuke, Kaguya, Hagoromo, Sage of Six Paths Madara, and others that could defeat a PS fighter so Gai takes this fight easy in the end.
