What she doesn't deserve is a thread like this. Konan was one of the founding members along with Yahiko and Nagato and it wasn't founded for evil purpose.

She was the only person Nagato really trusted, partnered with after Yahiko died and she was always there to back him up. Letting Tobi in Akatsuki, was Nagato's fault not her. She wasn't there as a GF but as a full partner and strong enough to keep her place. Enough to make Tobi use an ultimate defense. If she knew about Izanagi, and timed a couple or so more paper bomb, accordingly, Tobi might have gone.

She was nothing more than a mindless robot.

His points for this thread were quite valid. She didn't even have a brain of her own.

With enough prep anybody can be much stronger than what they would be capable of without.

Fact of the matter is she provided close to nothing to the akatsuki and there is no way in hell that if she didn't have a link to Nagato, that they would go out of their way to recruit her.

Obito's Kamui and Izanagi which Tobi already proved in the manga to get through her attack with prep despite the difficulty.

Deidara's C4. It almost killed Hebi Sasuke. Konan doesn't come close to defeating Hebi Sasuke either especially with his agility and Raiton based attacks.

Pain, Itachi, Kisame can all evade her Origami jutsu.

She is a badass female character with power limitations.

Yahiko was the one to come up with the idea and she was one of his first supporters and team mate. She was a strong opponent and during Konoha invasion she did prove herself and carried her own weight quite well along with helping Nagato. Besides there are many ways to be part of the group and help sustain it. Having a trustworthy partner one can rely on is crucial and Nagato needed someone like her who wouldn't betray him.

Tobi got them all killed, while deceiving and misleading them about his true purpose of collecting beasts - Do you think he deserved to be in the group that was created by an idealist like Yahiko? Yahiko didn't even trust Tobi and had rebuffed him when he contacted them first time around.

PS: Mindless robots do not make strategies. She knew Tobi would target her next and had analyzed his abilities. Not being aware of Izanagi is not such a sin. Its not like Tobi shared the tricks he had up his sleeve ( even Itachi didn't know all about him) or gave her much time. His first priority was to attack her as soon as he learned about the end of Pain.

If you put any akatsuki in that situation in the heart of the ocean, you're dying. The jutsu is the size of the ocean and people downgrade the jutsu because it's explosive tags.
There is no evading once you are in the middle of the jutsu.

1-Most of the akatsuki weren't villainous(in terms of their action, most of them weren;t motivated out pure evilness),Being evil was never a requirement nor a quality for being a member. Plus if you're making this point, then you might as well apply it to itachi and nagato.

2-Lmao half of the akatsuki failed in multiple missions

3-What did zetsu or hidan and kakazu do? what about sasori?

4-she actually is in contrast to other ninja. Plus in angle mode she is untouchable by most people , that's hax with enough chakra.

5-Yahiko killed his own damn self, and again, all of the akatsuki failed at some of their missions.

6-Her motivates or dreams were never mentioned or hinted in the manga and that was due to bad writing. But her doing what nagato wanted is merely nothing but the mix of respect to yahiko's legacy+being part of the akatsuki+supporting a friend.

Konan deserved more than anyone besides Nagato, since she was a member of the original Akatsuki.
She isn't strong enough? Lol she's badass, and without the shadow of a doubt would have killed Obito, if it wasn't for Izanagi. She also toyed with an entire clan, after she casually killed countless ninjas in Konoha. I wrote a topic about her, time ago.
