itachi said he will go and handle the edo tensei....
i dont think so
reasons:
1)orochimaru was nearly as strong as jiraiya , and jiraiya and itachi is a very debateable battle
2)surpassing orochimaru means he is most likely in itachis league for a start
3)kabuto is almost impossible to kill for the following reasons
-he can heal his body at any impact , the only jutsu known to have beaten this is rasengan(i know there are stronger jutsus which are capable of doing so)
this means that taijutsu will be almost pointless for itachi as it will have no effect , besides kabutos taijutsu is just a step behind itachis
-kabuto now claims he knows how to perform all of orochimarus techniques
this means when he is ;cut in two,loses a limb he will be able to pull his body back togethor using snakes
4)amaterasu is now counterable (for kabuto) because he is able to shed his skin
5)in a taijutsu battle it will be useless
-as i mentioned earlier he can heal himself
-he can split any artery, vein , capillary or muscle when he comes into contact when performing that jutsu he used on tsunade
6)kabuto can dematerialize himself
-here is proof
7)genjutsu is breakable by using summons or comrades , kabuto has easy access to these through
-edo tensei
-and kuchiyose no jutsu
genjutsu can only work while the caster isnt disturbed
if he/she has to move or do something else the genjutsu can be broken
e.g. manda is summoned (kabuto is stronger than orochimaru) and kabuto may have manda under his control(in a sense) , he is caught in genjutsu and manda attacks , itachi for his own protection uses either susanoo , another jutsu or controls manda , this will break the genjutsu
e.g.edo tensei summons can attack itachi and distract him , this will also release the genjutsu
8)itachi is smart , but kabuto is also smart , simple
9)HAVING medical knowledge gives him the advantage with kunai etc. , covering shuriken and tools in a deadly poison will be a problem for itachi
10)genjutsu is almost useless against itachi , but casting a genjutsu on itachi(kabuto can use two genjutsu)
and a paralysis genjutsu
itachi will easily break these genjutsu , but kabuto is fast and will easily get closer to itachi making it harder for itachi to react(sorry if i didnt explain it well , basically genjutsu->gets closer->genjutsu->gets closer....-sealed)
11)using an edo as a place to seal itachi is legit as he knows the 5 prong seal
12)susanoos weakpoint is the ground
orochimaru could spit out about 1000000 snakes with diamond swords from his mouth , and yes i am referring to kabutos stated inheritance of these jutsu
13)if yamato is dead at the scene he can reanimate his body and have mokuton at his will

14)kabuto can drain the chakra of some weaker edo summons
because while he is fighting he can use a shadow clone to use this:
this will boot his chakra when he releases a shadow clone jutsu
15)he can be very inconsistant with techniques
because he has "inherited" orochimarus jutsu and some of his chakra he now has 3 chakra natures

16)kabuto can still summon deidara , which would give him advanteges in terms of fire power a birds eye view
17)kabuto has a lot of chakra now because he has orochimarus chakra too
- to boot ALL his techniques have no risk to the user
- THE ONLY technique which consumes a fair amount of chakra by his comparison is edo tensei
