Most agree that Itachi shines brightly in 1 on 1 matches, but he'd never be able to take down villages like Nagato:

Itachi could barely solo the Uchiha clan on his own. He had to get Madara to help him and his parents barely fought back but rather accepted death.

1. Itachi didn't look at all faitgued or injured. "Barely" being a pointless adverb.

2. Itachi was 13 at the time. Nagato was 40 for his feat.

He had to get Madara to help him.

1. Obito, not Madara.

2. "Had" being debatable, as Hiruzen and the elders thought Itachi was perfectly capable of doing it himself.

IMO Kotoamatsukami can't be used to kill someone, or else Shisui wouldn't have lost to Danzō and had his eye stolen.

Are you talking about pre-Edo? His genjutsu wouldn't work. All Nagato would have to do is disrupt whatever path is affected. Plus, he can't spam MS techs like Sasuke could. The best chance he would have is with Susanoo and even that is shaky. It comes down to this: Nagato would just have to endure against Itachi. Itachi can't last long, Nagato can. Unless Itachi knew how Nagato's techs worked before hand, he would lose. And I have a feeling he didn't due to if he did, he would've shared that knowledge to Konoha. Anyways, wrong place for this. It belongs in the VS threads.

Nagato = Pain. It would be wise to differentiate. The names are used inter-changeably. That being said, if this was true, then he should've used it on Nagato when he was rezzed.

The only thing that hinders Itachi when fighting Nagato is his stamina and his lack of a counter to Chibaku Tensei IMO. It would pretty much be an even match until Nagato uses Chibaku Tensei as Itachi can counter everything else Nagato tosses at him.

I don't see him taking out ALL of Nagato's summons + Nagato himself (assuming you mean Nagato and not him using 6PoP). If he is fighting Nagato while using his paths (bodies) then he has no hope.
