I have done this thread a while back but it was barely noticed, so to all of those new people on the base reading this I just wanted to fill you guys in on why I think Zabuza's assassination failed.

So we all know that Yagura was being controlled by Tobi (Obito)

I believe that when Zabuza attempted to assassinate Yagura Obito intervened because he felt he still had use for the Mizukage and the tailed beast he would soon need that was within him. It wouldn't end well if Zabuza killed Yagura leading to the tailed beast of the 3 Tails Isobu to roam around and to be put in another host which would be a hindrance to Tobi since he needed him close by and still needed Yagura's status as Mizukage to do what he pleased having a Kage under his control.

Please tell me how you feel about this thread, do you agree or disagree?

Agreed, but Yagura would beat Zabuza by himself.

Of course no doubt about it, but he was not conscious of his own actions so he might have been off guard leading to Obito intervening.

It is entirely plausible! Though it would have been an indirect intervention such as secretly informing other guards or even utilizing Zetsu's copy technique to do so.

It could also simply be that **** went wrong for Zabuza

Zabuza wasn't powerful enough anyways.

Yagura was a perfect jinchuuriki.

Yes I know but he might have been unconscious while being controlled, so Obito himself might have stepped in.

Intervening makes sense but akatsuki captured the turtle demon in the wild yagura didn't die of extraction or akatsuki wouldn't have had to fight the turtle in the wilderness. I believe yagura eventually resisted/broke obito's genjutsu and a battle which yagura lost ensued.

LOL at the idea of Zabuza taking on a jinchuriki.

But good idea, this makes sense.

Not sure about this, but by what means was Yagura controlled? if he was a perfect jinchuuriki..

He was a perfect jinchuriki. Zabuza stands no chance.

Reread the chaper of the kage summit. It states Yagura might have been a perfect jinjuriki. Seeing as how he was being controlled by obito with genjutsu I highly doubt he was. As for the zabuza plot there are too my possibilies. If anything the three tailed beast being separated from its host worked out better for obito. I think the plot failed because of ao yet again. But seeing as how Yaguras death was never explained the failed assassination could have left himself weak and then later passed away.

A Jinchuriki should die almost instantly unless they are a Uzumaki.

He was controlled with Obito's Sharingan.
