[Discussion] Reason why Madara didn't die when he fought Hashirama

i think Madara might have used izanagi during his fight with Hahirama hence fooling Hashirama that he killed him.i have a feeling Madaras goal was to get hashiramas dna during their fight. what do you guys think?

That means he would have already had some if he was able to use izanagi. Unless he wanted more.

I dont think it holds a big mystery to it, maybe Izanagi, or just some Genjutsu powerful enough to fool the Shinobi God, cuz in the last panel of the fight, it appeared that he ( Hashirama) snapped out of a Genjutsu.

Also if Madara used Izanagi, he wont have his two eyes to give nagato, it was clearly Madara's original eyes that was on Nagato Then he got a spare eye when he met obito.

Madara was stabbed without a shadow of a doubt, but he probably used a perfectly timed genjutsu, like sasuke did with Danzo, to make it appear as if the stab was fatal.

That may be true, although it is more likely that it was just a regular genjutsu, not izanagi.
