Flash Step(Shunpo) or Sonido works the same way as body flicker from Naruto and Soru from One Piece. They disappear and reappear.

Next point Naruto characters CAN see Shinigami. Just because the facts in Bleach say humans can't see Shinigami doesn't mean you blindly ignore the facts of the other manga being compared saying they can. Naruto was able to see his own soul being dragged out by Nagato, and Tsunade saw Dan in his spirit from. There isn't a person who has watched Yu Yu Hakusho say Yuskue can't see Bleach characters. Why would you say the opposite of other manga.
